Established in the year 2000, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University abbreviated as MAFSU provides education in veterinary science and animal husbandry. It was officially stated as a University by a notification presented on 17th November 2000 under the State Act No. 1998 with its headquarter based in the Seminary Mountain region of Nagpur city. MAFSU is an UGC recognized university. The MAFSU is to ensure clarification and empowerment of students by imparting higher knowledge in the fields of dairy, animal, and fishery sciences by adopting ground-breaking, effective and competent strategies. The University focuses on making economic prosperity, rural employment, and welfare of the resource-poor farming community in the Maharashtra state through feasible and energetic research.
