Lucknow University Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria have been laid down by the authorities for applying to the Lucknow University Admission 2023:

Undergraduate courses:

  • B.Sc: A pass in class 12th with Science stream having Mathematics as a subject for Mathematics group or Biology for Biology group scoring not less than 40% marks is required (33% for SC/ ST candidates).
  • BA: The applicants need to clear their class 12th exam scoring not less than 40% marks (33% for SC/ ST candidates) for BA and 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST candidates) for BA (Hons).
  • B.Com: Candidates should have passed their class 12th exam with Commerce/ Economics/ Mathematics as a subject and scoring at least 40% marks (33% for SC/ ST candidates) for B.Com and 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST candidates) for B.Com (Hons).
  • BCA: Those who have passed the class 12th exam with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as a subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible.
  • BBA: The applicants should have passed their class 12th exam.
  • LLB (5 year): Applicants should have cleared their class 12th exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates).
  • B.Tech: Candidates with a pass in class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply.
  • BVA: A pass in class 12th exam with Vocal or Fine Arts subjects (preferably) is required.
  • BFA: The candidates need to pass their class 12th exam with Vocal or Fine Arts subjects (preferably).
  • B.Voc: Applicants who have passed their class 12th exam with Science subject with no less than 40% marks in aggregate (33% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible.
  • B.El.Ed: A pass in the class 12th exam with at least 50% marks in aggregate is required.
  • B.P.Ed: Candidates under 25 years of age holding an undergraduate degree in any stream with Physical Education as a compulsory/ elective subject and not less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible. Participation in the inter college/ inter zonal/ district/ school competition in sports and games is also required.

Postgraduate courses:

  • M.Sc: A B.Sc degree in relevant stream with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) is required.
  • MA: The candidates should hold a BA degree in concerned discipline scoring not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ ST candidates).
  • M.Com: Applicants with a B.Com degree securing at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible.
  • MCA: The candidates who have a BCA degree can apply for MCA program.
  • MBA (Integrated): Those who have cleared their class 12th exam can apply for MBA (Integrated) course.
  • LLB (3 year): Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any stream are eligible.
  • LLM: A degree in LLB with not less than 50% marks (48% for SC/ ST candidates) is required.
  • B.Lib.I.Sc: Those with an undergraduate degree in any field can apply for B.Lib.I.Sc course.
  • M.Lib.I.Sc: A B.Lib.I.Sc degree is required in order to be eligible for the M.Lib.I.Sc degree program.
  • MVA: Applicants with a BVA degree can apply for MVA program.
  • MFA: Applicants with a BFA degree can apply for MFA program.

Lucknow University Application Form 2023

Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for the Lucknow University Admission 2023 online. To obtain the application form, the candidates need to visit the official website of the university www.lkouniv.ac.in.

  • Personal, academic and other details related to the candidates will be asked in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of photograph and signature of the candidates should also be uploaded into the application form.

Lucknow University Exam Admit Card 2023

  • Admit card for the entrance exam will be made available for download on the official website around of the university.
  • After downloading, the candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry to the exam center on the exam day.
  • Important details related to the exam such as venue, date, time, etc will be printed on the admit card.
  • Candidates who fail to carry the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

Question 1: Is there an entrance exam for admission to each course in Lucknow University?

Answer: No. For courses like B.Tech, MBA and MCA, no entrance exam is conducted by the university and the candidates are selected for admission on the basis of marks secured in UPSEE, CAT, AMAT, XAT, MAT and other similar exams.

Question 2: What if I lost my admit card? Can I get another copy?

Answer: To protect from loss or damage, the candidates are suggested to take multiple printouts of the admit card. No copy of the admit card will be sent by the institute.

Question 3: Amount was debited but the status shows unsuccessful fee payment. What should I do now?

Answer: Sometimes, it takes up to 72 hours for payment status to get updated. If the status is still showing unsuccessful, you can contact the technical helpline 0522 4150500 during working hours. Candidates should not make double payment of the application fee.

Question 4: What documents should I carry at the time of verification?

Answer: Documents related to academics from class 10th onwards, category certificate, disability certificate, photographs and other important documents should be carried at the time of verification.

Question 5: What happens if I am unable to report for the admission in given time?

Answer: Candidates who fail to report for the admission in given time, their candidature will be canceled. No request for re-conducting the admission formalities for such candidates will be entertained.
