LPU NEST 2020: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus

LPU NEST 2020 will be conducted by the Lovely Professional University for admission into various UG, PG and Research courses offered by it. Through LPU NEST, candidates can enroll themselves in various disciplines of engineering, management, law, etc. Aspirants need to apply for the exam through its official website in order to be eligible for the admission. Eligibility Criteria for LPU NEST 2020

The eligibility criteria for some of the courses are provided below:

Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible for LPU NEST Exam.

For B.Tech

  • Candidates should have passed class 12th from any recognized board with 60% marks in 10+2 Physics, Mathematics/Biology/Chemistry and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Those appearing in class 10+2 can also apply.

For MBA

  • Candidates should have completed Graduation from UGC recognized University.
  • The marks obtained in the graduation should be minimum 50% aggregate and valid score in LPUNEST (MBA)/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT and interview.

For Design

  • Candidates should have passed class 12th exam from any recognized board with 50% aggregate marks and English as a compulsory subject.
  • Those appearing in class 12th can also apply.
  • Candidates also need to have a valid score in LPUNEST (Design) or UCEED (up to 5562 rank) for admission.

LPU NEST 2020 Application Form

The application for LPU NEST 2020 can be obtained through two modes- online and offline. The offline form can be acquired from the university campus office. The online form can be filled by visiting the official website http://www.lpu.in/. Students will need to register for the exam. The registration details will be sent to their Email ID and mobile number registered. After registration, candidates will be directed towards the fee payment section. On paying the required fee, candidates can finally proceed to fill the details in the application form. They will also need to keep the scanned photograph & signature handy.

Application Fee

Male candidates need to pay Rs. 700/- as application fee whereas, Female candidates are required to pay Rs. 400/- as the application fee.

Mode of Payment: candidates opting for online application form can pay the fee via credit card/debit card/net banking and those who opt for offline application form can pay the fee through Demand Draft made in favour of “Lovely Professional University”, payable at Jalandhar.

LPU NEST Syllabus

There is no fixed syllabus laid down by the authority for the LPU NEST 2020 Exam. But on a general note, the syllabus for UG courses will be based on the curriculum prescribed for class 11th and 12th .For PG courses, candidates need to study the subjects studied during the graduation. Candidates opting for Ph.D course need to prepare for the exam as per the subjects studied during the graduation and masters.

Preparation Tips for LPU NEST 2020

To fetch good scores in the exam, candidates should follow the tips given below –

  1. Make a realistic timetable. Follow it whole-heatedly.
  2. Collect only reliable study material.
  3. Prepare short notes while studying for the exam.
  4. Practice and solve sample papers. Have a look at the previous year papers to get an idea of the topics frequently asked in the exam.
  5. Practice yoga and meditation to ease your mind.
  6. Whenever exhausted with the studies go on a walk or indulge in outdoor activities to freshen up the mind.

LPU NEST 2020 Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card for LPU NEST via its official website. The admit card will only be generated once the slot booking for the exam is done by the candidate. Students must carry their admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam hall. It is to be noted that without a valid admit card and ID proof, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall and take the test. The hall ticket should be kept safe till the admission process is finished.

LPU NEST Result and Counselling 2020

The result of the LPU NEST 2020 Examination will be announced on the official website. Candidates need to login into the website using their registration details to check the result. Based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the exam, students will be called for the counselling/interview process (whichever applicable).
