Basic Eligibility Criteria for MCA Entrance Exam 2022
- The candidates who have completed their Bachelors’ degree course in any stream can apply for the MCA Entrance Exam 2022.
- The candidates appearing in the final year exam of their Bachelors’ degree course are also eligible.
- The applicants should have studied Mathematics at either in class 12th or during their bachelor level study.
Note: The given eligibility criteria might vary for certain institutes/ universities. Also, the minimum qualifying marks required differ from institute to institute. In order to get the exact eligibility criteria, the applicants are advised to visit the official website of the specific institutes/ universities.
List of some of the top MCA Entrance Exam 2022
The Indian Institute of Technology conducts Joint Admission Test (JAM) for admissions of the selected candidates into the MCA degree programme. The registration for this program begins from the month of September. Both the registration process and the entrance exam are held in online mode.
The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is conducted to screen the candidates for admissions into MCA degree programme offered by the participating NITs. It is a national level entrance test and the interested candidates can submit its application form in online mode from the month of March.
The prestigious Banaras Hindu University conducts Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU PET) to grant the candidates admissions into MCA degree programme. The exam is conducted in the month of May and the application form for the same becomes available from the month of January.
The Aligarh Muslim University conducts a university-level entrance test to shortlist the candidates for admissions into its 3-year MCA degree programme. All the interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria as well can submit their application to appear for the exam.
For providing the candidates admission into its MCA degree programme, the Jawaharlal Nehru University conducts entrance test. The test is conducted in the last week of December and the candidates who wish to get enrolled in this institute can apply for this test from the month of September.
A university-level entrance exam is conducted by the BIT Mesra to offer enrolment to the selected candidates in the MCA course offered at its campus and other extension centers at Jaipur, Lalpur and Noida. The test is conducted in online mode in the month of June and the candidates can submit its application also in online mode.
GITAM Science Admission Test (GSAT)
The GITAM University conducts GSAT to screen the candidates to offer admissions into MCA degree course. The application form for the exam can be downloaded from GITAM website www.gitam.edu. The candidates with a pass in any degree with Mathematics at +2 or Degree level can apply for this exam.
The Goa University offers admissions to the selected candidates into its MCA degree programme. For this purpose, it conducts an entrance exam held tentatively in the month of June. The interested applicants can fill their application form from the month of May.
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) to select the most capable candidates for admissions into its MCA degree course. The last date to submit its application form is 1st week of May and the exam is conducted in the 3rd week of May (tentatively).
The Lucknow University conducts LUCSAT (Lucknow University Computer science Admission Test) to enroll the qualified candidates admissions into its 3-year MCA degree course. The exam is conducted in the month of June and the application process for the same starts from the month of April.
Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PU CET)
The Panjab University provides the candidates admissions into its 3-year MCA degree course. For this, the university conducts a common entrance test held mostly in the month of June. The applicants with a 3-year bachelor’s degree in any field and who have studied Mathematics at class 12th or graduation level can apply for the CET.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra conducts MAH MCA CET (Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test) to screen the candidates to provide admissions into MCA course offered by the different institutes of Maharashtra. The online registration for the exam begins from the month of February and the exam is held in March.
For selecting the eligible candidates for admissions into MCA degree course into the institutions of Rajasthan state, the Rajasthan MCA Admission Test (RMCAAT) is conducted. The interested candidates can submit their application form in online mode from the month of May.
The candidates aspiring to enroll into the MCA degree programme offered by the institutes of West Bengal can appear for the JECA (Joint Entrance Examination for admissions to MCA). This is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the WBJEEB in the month of June. In order to appear for this exam, the candidates will have to submit their online application.
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) accepts application from the interested candidates who wish to take admissions into MCA course offered by the institutes of Puducherry. Lateral entry is also offered to the candidates. The candidates can obtain the application form from the official website of CENTAC, Puducherry.
UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination)
The AKTU conducts the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination with the aim to select candidates for admissions into MCA (paper 10) and lateral entry in MCA (paper 11). Interested and eligible candidates can apply for this exam only through online mode and the exam will also be held as computer-based test.
