The university offers a total of 144 seats available for the M.Tech courses which are divided equally into following specializations.
- Software Engineering – 18 seats
- Bio-Technology– 18 seats
- Electronics & Communication Engineering – 18 seats
- Computer Engineering– 18 seats
- Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Engineering) – 18 seats
- Mechanical Engineering (Industrial & Production Engineering) – 18 seats
- Electrical Engineering – 18 seats
- Material Science and Technology – 18 seats
Eligibility Criteria for Kurukshetra University M.Tech Admission 2021
Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech programme at Kurukshetra University must satisfy prescribed eligibility Criteria before applying for M.Tech Admissions. The required eligibility conditions are as follows:
- Candidates should have passed BE/ B.Tech in related field from AICTE approved institutions with obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (at least 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category).
- Candidates with valid GATE score will be preferred.
Kurukshetra University M.Tech Admission 2021 Application Form: How to apply?
Interested and eligible candidates can obtain the information booklet containing Admission Application Form and other important details online from the University Website i.e. www.kuk.ac.in and UIET website i.e. www.uietkuk.org.
The candidates can apply online only and online submission of Application Forms will be started most probably in the month of June 2019.
For the successful application, candidates have to pay Rs.500/- (Rs.125/- for candidates from BC/ SC/ SBC/ EBP category of Haryana) on or before the due date.
Print out of duly filled in Application Forms along with relevant documents must reach in the office of the Director, UIET by prescribed date and time in person or via Post. The university will not send any separate call letter for counseling to M. Tech Courses.
Admission Process
Preference will be given to the candidate valid GATE score/merit.
The left over seats in all M. Tech. courses will be filled up truly on the basis of qualifying Examination. No other weightage will be specified for generating the merit list for admission to M. Tech. courses
All the eligible aspirants whether from Haryana or from Reserved Categories will also contend for seats distributed under All India Category.
