Kota University Admission

The University of Kota offers the candidates postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes. In the postgraduate courses (except MBA and MCA), admission is granted on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam. The admission in MBA and MCA are provided as per the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Rajasthan Master in Computer Applications Admission Test (RMCAAT) guidelines, respectively. For enrolment in the Ph.D. courses, the candidates will have to qualify the university conducted entrance test.

Application Form

The admission form will be available on the official website of the university. The candidates will have to download the form, fill it up and submit it along with the application fee (in the form of demand draft). The form and the draft will be submitted to the Head of the Department of the respective course. Other than this, the applicants can also purchase the application form by submitting the application fee in cash or through demand draft at the university’s office.

Kota University PG Admissions

  1. Course name: M.Sc
Specialization Eligibility Criteria
Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry B. Sc. degree under 10+2+3 pattern with Chemistry as a main subject of study.

OR

B.Sc. degree with the specialization in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/ Polymer Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry, etc.

OR

3/4 year B. Sc. (Hons) degree in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry, etc.

OR

4-year Bachelor of Science and Technology (B.Sc (Tech.)) or Science and Teacher Education (B.Sc.-B.Ed.) degree with Chemistry as a paper.

 

The minimum percentage required in the qualifying examination is:

·         General category: 55%

·         SC/ST/OBC/SOBC/PH: Passing marks

·         All categories from other states: 60%

Wildlife Sciences Bachelor degree in Science/Medical Science/Engineering/ Veterinary Science/Agriculture/Forestry/Pharmacy/Computer Science/Computer Applications or equivalent with minimum aggregate marks of 50% (4-% for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC).

The candidate should have studied in the Science stream at Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent.

Life Sciences B. Sc. with Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology /Microbiology/Nursing/Agriculture/veterinary science as one of the subject with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC).
Physics-Energy B.Sc. (Mathematics) with 55% marks for general category candidates of Rajasthan; Other State: 60% and SC/ST/OBC/SOBC: 50%.
Zoology B. Sc. degree under 10+2+3 pattern with Zoology as a main subject.

OR

3/4 year B. Sc. (Hons) degree in Zoology

OR

4-year Bachelor of Science and Technology (B.Sc.-Tech.) or Science and Teacher Education (B.Sc.-B.Ed.) Degree with Zoology as a paper.

Energy Studies M.Sc. (Physics)

For general category candidates of Rajasthan State: 55%; Other State: 60%; SC/ST/OBC/SOBC: Minimum pass marks

B.E. (Electrical, Electronics, Civil or Mechanical)

For general category candidates of Rajasthan State: 55%; Other State: 60%; SC/ST/OBC/SOBC: 50%

Botany B. Sc. degree under 10+2+3 pattern with Botany as a main subject

3/4 year B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Botany

4-year Bachelor of Science and Technology (B.Sc.-Tech.) or Science and Teacher Education (B.Sc.-B.Ed.) with Botany as a paper.

International Business Graduation in any discipline with minimum 45% marks for general candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC candidates of Rajasthan (other states 55% for all candidates).

Specialization Eligibility Criteria
Accounting & Finance Commerce graduate with minimum 48% marks for general candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC candidates.

Specialization Eligibility Criteria
Mathematics For Rajasthan candidates:

(i) B.A. with Mathematics with 48% overall or 48% in Mathematics,

(ii) B.Sc. with Mathematics 55% overall or 55% in Mathematics

Minimum pass marks for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC candidates,

All categories from other states: 60%

Geography B.A. with Geography with 48% or B.Sc. with Geography with 55% for general candidates. Passing marks is required for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC candidates.

Eligibility Criteria: Those who have done D.P.Ed./BPE/B.P.Ed. are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should have done 3/5-year LL.B (Professional) course with at least 55% marks for general category and 50% for SC/ST/OBC. There is no age limit.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduation in any discipline with at least 48% marks is required for general candidates (minimum pass marks for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC candidates).
