KLEE 2024: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date

Candidates who wish to get enrolled into the law courses offered by the colleges of Kerala can apply for KLEE 2024. The application form will be made available in online mode as per the specified schedule. Forms will be released separately for 3-year LLB course, 5-year LLB course and LLM course. Entrance exams will be conducted online as well. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can proceed with the submission of application. KLEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below in order to apply for KLEE 2024:

For 3-year LLB course:

Nationality:

  • Only Indian national candidates are eligible to apply for KLEE 2024.

Age limit:

  • There is no lower age limit but the upper age limit will be as per the decision of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Academic qualification:

  • The candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with not less than 45% aggregate marks (42% marks for EBC candidates and 40% marks for SC/ ST candidates).

For 5-year LLB course:

Nationality:

  • Only Indian national candidates are eligible to apply for KLEE 2024.

Age limit:

  • Minimum age of the candidates as on 31st December 2024 should be 17 years.

Academic qualification:

  • A pass in class 12th exam with at least 45% marks (42% marks for EBC candidates and 40% marks for SC/ ST candidates) in aggregate is required.

For LLM course:

Nationality:

  • Only Indian national candidates are eligible to apply for KLEE 2024.

Age limit:

  • No upper age limit is prescribed for admission to this course.

Academic qualification:

  • Candidates need to complete their 3-year or 5-year LLB course with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in order to be eligible.

KLEE 2024 Application Form

The KLEE 2024 application from for both LLB and LLM courses will be released on the official website of CEE www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Other than online, no mode will be provided to the candidates for filling and submitting the application form.

  • Providing basic personal data and a password, the candidates have to fill a registration form first.
  • An application number will be generated after successful registration using which (along with the password created) the candidates can obtain the application form.
  • Remaining personal details, educational qualification, contact information, etc need to be entered into the application form.
  • After providing these details into the application form, the candidates can submit it online.
  • After the form is submitted, the candidates need to pay the specified amount of application fee and upload important documents.
  • Application process is completed after the payment of application fee and uploading of documents.
  • After completing the uploading of all necessary certificates/documents, the candidates can take a printout of the confirmation page.

Application fee:

  • Application fee for General/ SEBC candidates for LLB course is Rs. 685/- and for SC/ ST candidates it will be Rs. 345/-.
  • For LLM course, application fee will be Rs. 840/- for General/ SEBC candidates and Rs. 420/- for SC/ ST candidates.
  • Online payment of application fee can be done via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
  • Offline payment can be made in cash at any of the Head and Sub Post Offices in Kerala.

Important Documents

The candidates are required to upload the scanned copies of following documents into the application form. There is no need to send the hard copies of these documents to the CEE.

  • SSLC/ Birth Certificate/ Passport for proof of date of birth
  • Category certificates for SC/ ST candidates
  • Nativity proof
  • Non-creamy layer certificate for SEBC/ OEC candidates
  • Special reservation certificate, if applicable
  • Certificate from the medical board for PWD candidates
  • Income certificate for candidates with family income up to Rs. 6 lakhs
  • Inter-caste marriage certificate for candidates who are children of inter-caste married couple of whom one is SC/ ST
  • Non-creamy layer certificate for candidates who are children of inter-caste married couple of whom one is SEBC

KLEE 2024 Admit Card

  • The admit card to appear in KLEE 2024 will be generated for the successfully registered candidates.
  • Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of CEE using their application number and password.
  • A printout of the admit card should be taken by the candidates after downloading and carried to the exam center on exam day.
  • No candidate will be allowed entry into the examination hall in the absence of a valid admit card.
  • To protect from loss or damage, the candidates are suggested to keep multiple copies of admit cards with them.

KLEE 2024 Answer Key

  • Answer key for the entrance exam will be released few days after the commencement of exam.
  • If any candidate has any complaint regarding the answer keys, the same should be submitted to the CEE, within 5 days from the date of publication of answer keys.
  • The objection should be submitted in writing along with supporting documents and a fee of Rs. 100/- per question (Rs. 200/- for LLM course) by way of DD in favor of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
  • If the complaint filed is found to be genuine, the fee remitted while filing the complaint will be refunded.

KLEE 2024 Result

  • The KLEE 2024 will be announced online and can be checked by visiting the official website of CEE.
  • A rank list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam and published on the website.
  • Separate category–wise list will be published and the candidates are advised to verify the information provided there.
  • Further process of admission of the candidates will be carried out as per the names in the merit list.

KLEE 2024 Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)

  • The Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) will be done online to give allotment to the qualified candidates.
  • Candidates will be allowed to exercise their option for courses/colleges as per their ranks.
  • Process of choice filling will be completely online and the candidates are suggested to provide their choice in order of preference.
  • Seats will then be allotted to the candidates as per their choice and their ranking and allotment letters will be generated.
  • Candidates should report to the allotted institute with this letter and other important documents to complete the admission process.

Will the application forms released offline?

No. The application form will only be released online and can be obtained from official website of CEE.

Can I receive my admit card via post or courier?

No, the candidates can only download the admit card from the website of CEE.

Can candidates of state outside Kerala apply for KLEE?

Yes, but only those candidates who are of Kerala origin are eligible for any type of reservation or any fee concession.

I am not happy with the seat allotted to me. What can I do to get a better allotment?

The candidates will be considered for future allotment rounds automatically for the options above the one allotted to them. Those who do not want to be considered for future rounds can cancel the remaining options.

What documents do I need to carry while reporting for admission?

You must carry the following documents in original and photocopy while reporting for the admission:

  • Candidate’s data sheet
  • Allotment letter
  • Birth certificate (SSLC or relevant school records/ birth certificate/ passport/other valid document)
  • Mark list and pass certificate of the qualifying exam
  • Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the institution studied last
  • Migration certificate
  • Four recent passport size photographs
  • The applicant employed or trainee in Government/Quasi Government/Banks etc shall produce a relieving order and a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution where the candidate was employed
  • Candidate who passed their qualifying examination from Universities/Boards outside the state shall produce an “Eligibility Certificate” from the concerned university in Kerala, to the effect that the qualifying examination has been recognized by the University
  • Documents to prove nativity/ reservation/ fee concession, etc
