Eligibility Criteria for Kerala ITI Admission 2022
The following eligibility criteria should be fulfilled by the candidates applying for Kerala ITI Admission 2022:
Age & Domicile:
- Domicile: The candidates must fulfill the local/ non-local status requirements of the Kerala state.
- Age limit: The lower age limit as on 1st August 2022 is 14 years. There is no upper age limit prescribed.
Educational criteria:
- For matric trades: A pass in SSLC (class 10th) or equivalent exam is required to be eligible.
- For non-matric trades: Candidates who have failed their SSLC (class 10th) or equivalent exam can apply for non-matric trades.
- For Computer & DTP courses: The applicants should have a Pre-Degree (class 12th) in minimum for these trades.
Kerala ITI 2022 Application Form
Application form for the Kerala ITI Admission 2022 has been released through online mode on the official website of Directorate General of Employment & Training, Kerala www.det.kerala.gov.in. It is advised that the candidates complete the application process before the last prescribed date in order to be considered for the admissions.
- Candidates can fill the application form by providing their basic personal info such as name, category, father’s name, gender, date of birth, etc.
- Academic details such as qualifying exam passing year, passing status marks obtained, etc should also be provided in the application form.
- Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature need to be uploaded in the application form.
- Care should be taken while filling details in the application form as any incorrect information will make it liable for rejection.
- After providing all the information into the application form, the candidates can submit the form online.
- The candidates must keep a printout of the duly filled application form with them in case of future reference.
Application fee
- The application process will only be considered complete after the submission of the specified application fee.
- Application fee for Kerala ITI Admission 2022 is expected to be Rs. 50/-. Payment of the fee can be done online via debit card/ credit card or net banking facility.
- The application fee once submitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Kerala ITI 2022 Merit List Preparation
- A merit list of the candidates will be prepared by the authorities who submit their applications in time.
- The list will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in their qualifying exam.
- The list will be uploaded online and the candidates can check the same from the official website of DTE Kerala.
- Further selection process of the candidates will be carried out as per their names in the merit list.
Kerala ITI 2022 Counseling & Admission Process
- Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be invited to attend the counseling round.
- Documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified during counseling and they be asked to provide their choice for the trade and ITI.
- As such the candidates reporting for counseling should carry all their important documents along with them.
- Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their choice, merit and availability of seats.
- Those who are allotted a seat should report to the allotted institute and complete the formalities of admission.

- Can a candidate outside the state of Kerala apply for ITI admission in the state?
No. Only the candidates who are a native of Kerala state are eligible to apply.
- What if I fail to secure admission in the given time frame?
Those who fail to complete the formalities of admission within the given time limit will lose their candidature.
- Can I fill and submit my application form online?
No. The application form will only be released through online mode. Application form submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
- Is there any entrance exam conducted for Kerala ITI admissions?
No entrance exam will be conducted. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their marks in qualifying exam.
- Can changes be made in the application form after submission?
No. Once the application form is submitted, no changes or corrections can be made in it.
