Karunya Entrance Exam 2023 or KEE 2023 is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Karunya Institute of Science and Technology. The aim of this exam is to select the candidates for admission to its B.Tech and B.Sc. Agriculture program offered by the university. Interested and eligible candidates who are looking to apply need to submit an online application form before the last date. KEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria depend upon the course in which you are looking for admission. The eligibility criteria for some of the courses are given below.

For B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering

  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2 exam with Physics, chemistry, and Mathematics subjects with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam in a vocational stream with any one of the chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics subjects are also eligible. Such candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

For B.Tech in Biotechnology/ Food Processing and Engineering

  • The candidates should have cleared the 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/ Biology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Computer Science subjects and a minimum of 50% marks.

 B.Sc. Agriculture

  • The aspirant needs to have at least 50% marks in 10+2 with Agriculture/ PCB/ PCM/ PCMB subject group.

 B.Sc. Horticulture

  • Candidates need to pass the 10+2 equivalent exam with PCB/ PCMB/ PCM/ PC Forestry/ Inter Agriculture subject group and at least 50% marks.

Age Limit

  • The age of a candidate for admission to any of the UG courses should not be more than 21 years.
  • Appropriate relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved category candidates.
  • The age of an applicant will be calculated as on 1st July 2023.

Appearing candidates

  • Those students who are going to appear for the 10+2 or equivalent exam in the year 2023 can also apply.

KEE 2023 Application Form

The application process of KEE 2023 is completely online. Candidates seeking admission through this exam need to visit the official website to access the application form.

  • To apply for the exam, candidates first have to register themselves on the official website by providing some of their basic details including name, email address, etc.
  • After completing the registration, aspirants can log in by entering the User ID and password generated during registration.
  • The application form will appear on the screen after signing-in.
  • In the application form, candidates need to provide mandatory academic, personal, and contact details.
  • Apart from the details, aspirants should also upload the soft copies of the photograph, class 10th mark sheet and signature.
  • After submitting the form, candidates are required to pay the necessary application form.
  • Once you are done with submitting the form and fees, you should take a printout of the application form and fee receipt for future requirements.

Application Fee

  • All Indian citizens who will apply for this exam need to pay Rs. 1000/- as application fee.
  • The application fee for Foreign nationals and NRIs are USD 60
  • The fee can be paid through online payment gateways using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

The exam pattern of the KEE 2023 exam is explained below.

  • Examination Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test)
  • Type of Questions: Objective type multiple choice questions

  • Exam duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Total marks: 100
  •  Marking Scheme: Each question will carry 1 mark

The general syllabus of KEE 2023 is given below.

Mathematics: Binomial theorem and its simple applications, Mathematical Induction, Permutations and combinations, Matrices and determinants, Complex numbers and quadratic equations, Three dimensional geometry, Coordinate geometry, Differential equations, Integral calculus, LImit, continuity and differentiability, Sequences and series, etc.

Physics: Oscillations and waves, Kinetic theory of gases, Thermodynamics, Properties of solids and liquids, Gravitation, Rotational motion, Work, energy and power, Laws of motion, Kinematics, Physics and measurement, Dual nature of matter and radiation, Optics, Electromagnetic waves, Electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, etc.

Chemistry: Redox reactions and electrochemistry, Equilibrium, Solutions, Chemical Thermodynamics, Chemical bonding and molecular structure, Atomic structure, States of matter, Some basic concepts in chemistry, Purification and characterisation of organic compounds, Environmental chemistry, Co – ordination compounds, D and f block elements, P – Block elements, S – Block elements, etc.

KEE 2023 Admit card

  • Those candidates who will submit the application form along with necessary fees before the last date will be able to download the admit card.
  • To download an admit card, candidates have to enter their application number and password.
  • Admit card comprises important information like candidate’s roll number, examination schedule, venue of the exam, etc.
  • No candidate can admit card examination hall without valid ID proof.
  • Also, carry one photo ID proof along with an admit card.

KEE Result 2023

  • The result of KEE 2023 will be made available by the institute on its official website.
  • To check their result, candidates need to sign-in using their application number and passcode.
  • The information like subject wise marks, total marks, and rank secured by the candidate will be available on the result card.
  • Keep the result card safe as it will be required during the counselling process.

KEE 2023 counselling

  • The institute will invite successful candidates who will score more than qualifying marks in the counselling process.
  • Candidates can participate in the counselling according to their ranks.
  • During the counselling, candidates have to enter the choice of the branch of engineering in which they want to pursue their B.Tech.

Question – 1: What documents do I need to carry at the exam center?

Answer: You must carry your admit card along with a photo ID proof. The acceptable photo ID proofs are as follows – 12th class ID card issued by the school, Letter from the head of the institution with a photograph of the candidate, Driving license, passport, Aadhaar card, etc.

Question – 2:  Can I get an offline application form from the institute?

Answer: No, the offline application forms will not be released by the institute.

Question – 3: Do I have to attempt the Mathematics questions in the KEE 2023 exam if I am looking for admission into B.Tech Food Processing Technology?

Answer: No, for admission to such courses, you need to attempt the Biology section instead of Mathematics.
