KEAM 2021: Result (Out)

KEAM 2021 will be conducted to select the candidates for admissions into B.Tech, B.Pharma, BAMS, B.Arch and many other courses. The selected candidates will be offered admissions into different colleges situated in the state of Kerala. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application from 1st June 2021. The exam will be conducted in offline mode and is postponed. Those qualifying the exam will be allotted seats through Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).

KEAM 2021 Quick Terms

  • The filling of application can be done only online. However, submission will be done both online and offline.
  • Candidates must make sure of their eligibility before applying for the admission process as any kind of fees submitted will not be refunded.
  • Only the candidates meeting the Keralite or Non-Keralite domicile criteria can apply for the exam.
  • NEET is compulsory for admissions in MBBS/ BDS course and NATA for architectural course.
  • The whole process of the admission will be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

KEAM 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria for KEAM 2021:

Age limit:

  • Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2021.
  • There will be no upper age limit for engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses.
  • For medical and allied courses, the upper age limit will be as per the information bulletin of NEET.

Domicile:

  • Indian citizen who is a native of Kerala can apply.
  • A candidate who has undergone qualifying course in Kerala and is son/ daughter of Non-Keralite parents working under Government of India/ Defence Service, posted to Kerala or are serving/ served Government of Kerala for a minimum period of two years.
  • A candidate who is not of Kerala Origin but has been a resident of Kerala State for a period of 5 years within the period of 12 years of his/ her study or has undergone his/ her school studies in Kerala from standard VIII to XII.

Academic qualification:

  • For MBBS, BDS and BSMS: Candidates should clear their class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology with an aggregate of 50% marks in these subjects and in Biology/ Biotechnology separately. Qualifying NEET is mandatory for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses.
  • For BAMS/ BHMS: Those who pass their 10+2 exam with 50% marks in Biology and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible.
  • For BUMS: A pass in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects and in Biology separately is required. In addition to this, a pass in Urdu or Arabic or Persian language in class 10th or in Urdu in the entrance exam conducted by the authorized board is also necessary.
  • For B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry and B.F.Sc: The applicants should have passed their Higher Secondary Examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together and 50% in Biology separately.
  • For B.V.Sc & AH: Applicants who have passed their 10+2 exam by scoring a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible.
  • For B.Tech: Those who have cleared their class 12th exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with at least 50% marks in their aggregate can apply. 50% marks in Mathematics separately is also mandatory.
  • For B.Arch: The candidates who have passed their class 12th exam or 3-year diploma with Mathematics or International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics are eligible. A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam and a pass in NATA are also required.
  • For B.Pharm: A pass in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics subjects and an aggregate of 50% marks in these subjects is required. 50% marks in Biology/ Mathematics separately is also mandatory.

KEAM 2021 Application Form

The KEAM 2021 application form will be made available on the official CEE website cee.kerala.gov.in. Interested candidates can fill and submit their application form for admissions tentatively from 1st June 2021.

  • In the application form, basic personal and educational details of the candidates will be asked.
  • Candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature in the form in scanned format.
  • Once all the details are entered, the candidates can submit their application form online.
  • A hard copy of the application form, after affixing a photograph same as the one uploaded should be sent to the office.
  • The candidates will also have to attach important documents attested by gazetted officers along with the application form.

Application fee

Along with the application form, the candidates will also have to submit a prescribed amount of application fee.

The fee can be paid online by credit card/ debit card/ Internet Banking or through cash by e-Challan submitted at Head/ Sub Post Offices in Kerala.

KEAM 2021 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for KEAM 2021 is given below:

  • Mode of exam: Offline
  • Number of papers: 2
  • Duration of exam: 2:30 hours for each paper
  • Number of questions: 120 questions in each paper
  • Total marks: 480 (each paper)
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Marking scheme: Each right answer will fetch 4 marks to the candidates
  • Negative marking: For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted

Preparation Tips

The candidates preparing for KEAM can follow the basic tips to clear the entrance exam with a better score:

  • Make a practical time table and follow it strictly. A time table can help you in managing your time in a better manner.
  • Collect all relevant material for your study at one place. This will help you in saving time that can be wasted otherwise while searching randomly for study material.
  • Make notes of the important topics that you come across while studying. These notes will be helpful during revision.
  • After sufficient knowledge and clearing your basics, you can start practicing questions from previous years.
  • Keep revising the topics you have read earlier in between your studies, so that you do not forget them as you move on with preparation.

KEAM 2021 Admit Card

  • The admit card will be released on the website of CEE cee.kerala.gov.in and can be downloaded using application number and date of birth.
  • Candidates can also download their admit card by visiting any of the facilitation Centers all across the state.
  • Any kind of defects in the application form will result in non-issuance of the admit card.
  • Such defects will be displayed on the homepage of the candidate while attempting to download the admit card.
  • These defects should be rectified within the dates specified in the notification to be able to download admit card.
  • The applicants are required to carry their admit card to the exam center or else they will not be allowed to appear for exam.

KEAM 2021 Result

  • CEE has declared the result of the KEAM 2021 entrance test on its official website.
  • Based on the marks scored by the candidates, merit lists shall be prepared for counseling an admission.
  • Separate merit lists will be drawn for admissions into different courses.
  • As per the rank in the merit list, the candidates will then be invited to take part in the allotment process.

Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)

  • The Centralised Allotment Process will be done through the Single Window System (SWS) to give allotments to the various courses and colleges.
  • Candidates will be allowed to register themselves for CAP and provide their choice for courses and colleges.
  • Now based on the ranking of the candidates and the choices provided by them, seat allotment will be done.
  • Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to report to the institution for admission as per the notified dates.
  • Final admissions will be granted after verification of documents and payment of tuition and other applicable fees.
