The Karnataka Examination Authority prepares merit list according to the marks secured by candidates in the entrance test and final year of the qualifying exam. Equal weightage would be given to candidates’ performance in the entrance test and qualifying exam. The post will be updated based on the latest updates released by the exam conducting authority. Karnataka Diploma CET Result & Merit List 2021
Post completion of Karnataka Diploma CET, the authority will first release the answer key at the official website of Karnataka Examination authority i.e. http://kea.kar.nic.in. The candidates/lecturers/parents may put their objection against answer key, if any, by attaching all supporting documents/justification.
Candidates have to enclose the justification along with objection otherwise the same won’t be accepted. All the objections received by KEA, will be placed before an Expert Committee and according final decision will be made.
According to the merit decided by Karnataka Examination Authority, ranks would be assigned separately for
- Day Engineering College Courses;
- For Evening Engineering College Courses (Mysore);
- Evening Engineering College Courses (Bangalore);
Thereafter, the authority will publish the result sheet at the official website of Karnataka Examination authority. Post declaration of the merit list, candidates will have to go through a document verification process held at 15 notified Helpline Centres across the State.
Method of Preparation of Merit List
The authority will prepare the merit list for Day and Evening engineering courses according to candidates’ performance in entrance test and final year of the qualifying exam. On the other hand, merit list for architecture program will be prepared on behalf of candidates’ performance in the qualifying exam and NATA.
In case the merit of two or more candidates is found same them the merit will be calculated in following ways:
- Marks received by candidates in the entrance exam;
- Marks obtained by them in 2nd or 3rd & 4th semester;
- Marks obtained by them in 1st year or 1st and 2nd semester;
- Elder candidates would be given preference.
