Karnataka B.Sc. Nursing 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who want to apply need to make sure that they meet the following eligibility criteria.

Nationality

  • Applicants should be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

  • Candidates should have been born on or before 31st December 2006.

Nativity

  • Candidates need to be native of Karnataka in order to apply or must have passed the qualifying examination from the state of Karnataka. Wards of central government employees currently posted in Karnataka are also eligible.

Educational Qualification

  • Aspirants must have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English papers individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks together in PCB papers at the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2). SC/ ST candidates require only 40% marks in PCB papers together.

Those candidates who are looking to apply for the Karnataka B.Sc. Nursing 2024 need to fill and submit the application form online. Please note that the application process for KEA B.Sc. Nursing/ BPT/ BPO/ B.Sc. Allied Science will take place simultaneously. The step-by-step process to submit the application form is explained below.

  • To begin the proceedings, you need to visit the official website i.e. Cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  • After visiting the official website, you will have to register by entering your basic details like name, email address, phone number, password, etc.
  • Next, you need to sign in by entering the password generated during the last step.
  • After that, provide your complete educational, personal, and contact details. A few of the details that you need to enter in the details such as candidate’s name, Father Name, Mother Name, Gender, Date of birth, Mobile Number, Email, etc.
  • Next, you will have to upload scanned images of your password size photograph, left-hand thumb impression, and signature.
  • The documents should be uploaded in JPG/ JPEG format.
  • In the next step, you should pay the requisite fee in the prescribed method.
  • Finally, take a printout of the application form on A-4 size paper and the same copy should be produced during document verification.

Application Fee

The application fees are different for candidates from various categories as given below.

  • General and OBC candidates – Rs. 1000/-
  • SC/ ST and PwD candidates – Rs. 500/-

Karnataka B.Sc. Nursing Selection Process

  • Karnataka Examination Authority will scrutinize all the applications that it will receive in the due time.
  • After scrutinizing the applications, it will prepare merit on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the qualifying exam (10+2).
  • Please note that authorities will not conduct any entrance test.
  • You should also know that Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will follow the reservation policy of the Karnataka State Government.

Result and Merit List

  • The result or merit list for Karnataka B.Sc. Nursing admission 2024 will release online through the official website.

    • Domicile Certificate for 10 years in Karnataka (Issued by the Tahashildar of Karnataka) or Study Certificate of seven years in Karnataka.
    • Relevant Certificates for those who are claiming exemption for seven years study in Karnataka.
    • Certificate claiming reservation under article 371-J issued by the Assistant Commissioner of Revenue Department.
    • Candidate studied other than Karnataka PUC Board, all other boards like CBSE Board and ICSC Board should submit the Eligibility Certificate obtained from the

Answer: Candidates should meet any one of the following criteria in order to apply.

  • Candidates should have studied in Government recognized education institution located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of 7 years.
  • A candidate should have studied and passed I and II year Pre-University Examination within the State of Karnataka and either of his parents must studied have in the state of Karnataka for at least 7 years.
  • In case of a candidate who is son or daughter of Defence personnel who has worked continuously in Karnataka and candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognized institutions located in Karnataka.
  • Gadnadu Kannadiga – A candidate whose Mother Tongue is Kannada or Tulu or Kodava and who resides in Kannada speaking areas of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath of Gandhiganj taluk of Maharashtra state or Kasargod taluk of Kerala state.
  • Horanadu Kannadiga: A candidate whose Mother tongue is Kannada or Tulu or Kodava and who is residing outside the State of Karnataka but within the territory of India, as on 1st May of the year and such candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from an institute outside Karnataka but within India.
  • In the case of a candidate who is the son or daughter of an Ex-serviceman who at the time of joining the Defence service had declared a place in Karnataka as his hometown.
  • If a candidate being son or daughter of an employee of Union government or employee of the Karnataka State Government has worked continuously for at least one year in Karnataka as on any day from 1st July 2019 to 30th June 2024.
