UTET 2022: Online Application Date, Eligibility & Exam Pattern

Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2022 (UTET 2022) notification shall be released by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education, Government of Uttarakhand and the application form might be accessible from July 2022. UTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates, who are aspiring to apply for UTET 2022, are suggested to read the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the exam conducting authority:

Eligibility For Classes I-V

If you want to become the teacher for classes I-V then here are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill:

  • Candidates, who have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with securing at least 50% marks and hold 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education are eligible. Or
  • Candidates who have cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent exam) with obtaining minimum 45% marks and hold 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) as per the Regulations 2002, are permitted to apply. Or,
  • Candidates, who have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with securing minimum 50% marks and hold 4-year preliminary Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED), are eligible. Or,
  • Candidates, who have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with securing minimum 50% marks and hold 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), are eligible. Or,
  • Candidates, who have passed Graduation or its equivalent degree and hold 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ BTC, are permitted to apply. Or,
  • All those Siksha Mitra who have cleared 2-year Diploma (D.El.Ed) from IGNOU are permitted to apply.
  • Candidates, who have passed Bachelor’s degree with obtaining minimum 50% marks and hold D.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education) degree, are permitted to apply.

Eligibility  for class VI-VIII

If you want to become the teacher for classes VI-VIII then here are the eligibility criteria you need to meet with:

  • Candidates should be having Graduation or its equivalent degree and cleared or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma ((B.T.C/ D.EL.Ed) in Elementary Education. Or,
  • They should hold the Graduation degree or its equivalent along with securing at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) in Education. Or,
  • They should be having Graduation or its equivalent degree along with scoring 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor (B.Ed/L.T/Siksha Shastri) in Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. Or,
  • Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EL.ED). Or,
  • They should have cleared Bachelor’s degree with obtaining a minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed (Special Education);

UTET 2022 Application Form

Candidates can purchase the UTET application form from the specified post offices of several districts of the state. Candidates are suggested to apply for the entrance according to the deadline specified above. Here is the list of post-offices from where you can obtain the form:

Admit Card

Only upon successfully submission of the form, candidates will be eligible to obtain their respective admit card. Candidates will be able to obtain their respective admit card simply by visiting the official website of Uttarakhand Board of School Education. They may download their admit card simply by entering their respective OMR application number or name or date of birth.

UTET 2022 Exam Patten

All the questions asked in the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test will be objective type only. Every right answer is associated with 1 mark and there will be no negative marking rule applicable for the wrong answer. Candidates would be given 150 questions which need to be solved over a period of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Selection Procedure

Candidates’ selection would be based on their performance in the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET). Provided below is the category-wise qualifying marks, please have a look:

  • For General – 60% marks
  • SC/ST – 40% marks
  • OBC/Differently Abled Class – 50% marks

UTET 2022 Result

The result of all shortlisted candidates will be made available at the official website of Uttarakhand Board of School Education.
