UPTET Exam Pattern 2018

UPTET 2018 is going to be conducted in offline mode. All the questions will be objective type multiple choice questions. The exam will consist of two papers and each paper contains 150 questions in total. One mark will be awarded to candidate for every correct attempt. Candidates who want to become teacher of class 1 to class 5 they need to appear for Paper 1 and those who would like to become teacher of class 6 to 8 they need to appear for Paper 2.

UPTET 2018 Result

UPTET 2018 result is going to be announced in the last week of February 2018. Candidates will be intimated about the date of releasing result through the latest newspaper of Uttar Pradesh. The result UPTET will be released through the official website of UPTET.  Candidates can also receive the UPTET Answer sheet/OMR sheet simply by paying the fee through demand draft of Rs.500/- per copy. The draft should be drawn in favor of “Secretary, Examination Controller Officer” payable at Allahabad.

UPTET Selection Process 2018

  • Candidates will be selected for UPTET 2018 based on written examination which will consist of Paper I & Paper II.
  • The paper-1 will be conducted for the candidates who prefer to be selected for primary level (from class I-V).
  • The question paper-II will be for those candidates who choose to apply for the UP TET Eligibility Criteria for classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level).

UPTET Application Form 2018: How to apply?

Candidates will fill and submit the UPTET 2018 application form as according to the guidelines given below:

  • The UP TET application form will be available on the official website of UPBEB which is ‘’.
  • Applicants will fill all the necessary details in the application form.
  • In the application form, there will be columns in which candidates will upload their scanned photograph and signature.
  • There will be examination fee of Rs. 400 also which candidates will pay thru the credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • The application for the candidates of the reserved category will be Rs. 200.
  • Candidates need to take the printout of the application form and save that for future reference.

First Complete the Online Registration 

Candidates need to complete the online registration by visiting the official web portal of UPBEB i.e. Fill up the basic information and upon completion of the registration process, you will receive your username and password.

Make the payment of Application Fee

Thereafter, you need to make the payment of application fee which is Rs.400/- for General and OBC category and Rs.200/- for SC/ST category. PH category candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Upload the necessary documents

Once you make the payment of fee successfully, then you need to upload your photograph, signature and other certificates of suggested size.

Take a printout of your filled application

At the last, you need to take a printout of your filled application form and keep it safe for the future uses.

UPTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for UPTET 2018 have been divided into two categories. The details are as given below:

  1. UPTET Eligibility Criteria for classes I-V (Primary Level):
  • Candidates must have passed the senior secondary school examination with at least 50% marks.
  • They have completed their graduation from a recognized university.
  • Along with that, the applicants must have completed the 2 years diploma in ‘T.C’, ‘N.C.T.E’ or ‘D.Ed.’ from a rehabilitation centre. 
  1. UPTET Eligibility Criteria for classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level):
  • Candidates must have passed the senior secondary school examination with at least 50% marks.
  • Candidates having 02 years B.T.C. from N.C.T.E. will be eligible to apply for the TET 2018.
  • They must have passed 4 years degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed from NCTE/ UG recognized Institute.
