UPTET 2023: Application Form, Eligibility & Exam Date

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will release the official notification for UPTET 2023. It is a state-level exam of Uttar Pradesh to determine the eligibility of aspiring teachers in the state. UP TET consists of two exams. One for the primary level teachers i.e. teachers of class 1^st to 5^th and other for secondary level teachers i.e. class 6^th to 9^th teachers. The exam will carry 150 questions of 1 mark each. The UPTET application process will take place in online mode only. Candidates must ensure that they are eligible before submitting the application form. Quick Notes

• Board will not provide any correction window for the details entered in the application form. So, candidates must be very careful while filling the form.
• The UPTET 2023 score will remain valid for 5 years.
• A candidate should not submit more than one application. Otherwise, applications will be rejected.
• Different examinations will be conducted for primary level teacher (1^st to 5^th class) and elementary level teacher (5^th to 8^th class).
• An aspirant can apply for both primary level and elementary level exams subjected to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates can pay the fee either in online or offline mode. There is no application fee for physically handicapped candidates.
• Examination authorities will verify the documents of the applicants before the release of UP TET certificate.

UPTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants should ensure that they fit into the following eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

Primary level – For becoming a Teacher of Classes 1^st to 5^th

The candidates must possess any of the following educational qualifications to apply.

• A bachelor’s degree recognized by UGC with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) and 2 years Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) recognized by NCTE/ RCI.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years BTC, C.T. (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) recognized by UGC.
• A graduation degree with qualify in special BTC training.
• A bachelor’s degree along with BTC Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh.
• Candidates having 4 year’s Bachelor’s of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree can also apply.

Elementary level – For becoming a Teacher of Classes 6^th to 8^th

For elementary level UP TET 2023, the candidate must satisfy any of the following educational criteria.

• A graduation degree with B.T.C from a university recognized by UGC and NCTE.
• A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed/ B.Ed (special education from rehabilitation council of India).
• 10+2 with at least 50% marks and any of the following four years degree courses i.e. B.A.B.Ed. Or B.Sc.Ed.  Or B.El.Ed.
• A graduation degree in any field with at least 45% marks along with B.Ed.

UPTET 2023 Application Form

UPTET Application Form 2023 will release in online mode only through the website of UP basic education board. Given below are the instructions to apply for UPTET exam 2023.

• To start the application process, the candidates first need to register by providing some of their basic details like name, phone number, email, etc.
• After basic registration, the main application form can be accessed.
• Aspirants have to provide their personal details like name, father’s name, address of correspondence, permanent address, etc in the application form.
• Along with the personal details, the candidates also need to enter the educational details like qualifying exam, marks, institution, etc.
• Apart from this, the applicants also required to upload the scanned copy of their photograph as well as signature.
• Candidates also need to pay the application fee once all the details are entered.
• Aspirants must take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Application Fee

UPTET 2023 Application Fees for the candidates of different categories are as follows:

• For SC/ ST applicants: Rs. 300/-
• For all other applicants: Rs. 500/-
• Physically handicapped candidates: Nil (exempted from application fee)

Mode of payment: Application fee can be paid through SBI E-challan or online using a debit card/ credit card / Internet banking.

UPTET 2023 Admit Card  

• The board will release admit card of UPTET 2023 exam online through its official portal.
• Details regarding the exam such as date, timing and venue will be communicated to the candidates via admit card.
• Admit cards will not be sent to the candidates individually by post or any other offline mode.
• It is compulsory for every aspirant to carry the hard copy of an admit card to the examination center.
• In addition to the admit card, the candidates also need to carry one photo identity proof in original.
• Applicants must keep the admit card safe till the recruitment process get completed.

UPTET 2023 Exam Pattern

Here is the general exam pattern for the UPTET 2023 examination.

• Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and Paper based exam)
• Number of Papers: 2 (Paper – I for the teachers of class 1^st to 5^th, and Paper – II for the teachers of class 5^th to 8^th)
• Type of Questions: Objective-type multiple choice questions only.
• Number of Questions: 150 questions in each paper
• Marking Scheme: All the questions will carry 1 mark
• Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking

UPTET 2023 Answer Key

• After conducting the exam, the board will release answer keys on its official website.
• Please note that the answer keys for primary and elementary exams will be released separately.
• Using the answer keys, the candidates can get some idea about the marks they are going to score.
• Board will also accept the objection against the answer keys within a limited period of time.

UPTET 2023 Result and merit list

• The candidates will be able to check their result in online mode via official website of the board.
• Notification regarding the declaration of result will also be published on the main newspapers of Uttar Pradesh.
• To check their result, the applicants have to sign-in to the official portal.
• Along with the result card, the board will also publish the merit list of selected candidates.
• Those candidates who will score more than UPTET cutoff marks 2023 will be declared successful.
• UPTET 2023 qualification certificate will be issued to all the successful candidates after a few days of result declaration.
