Tamilnadu Civil Services Exam 2022: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) publishes the notification for the Tamilnadu Civil Services Exam every year to select the eligible candidates for the various posts in the administrative, police and revenue departments. The candidates, who have completed their bachelor level education from a recognized institute, can take part in the selection process.

Tamilnadu Civil Services Application Form 2022
All the eligible candidates can fill and submit the application form online. Candidates can fill the application form as according to the guidelines given here;
- Candidates need to open the official website of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
- There will be a link on the website to apply online for the Tamilnadu Civil Service.
- Candidates need to fill all the details in the application form such as the name, address and other communication details such as phone number and valid email ID.
- In addition to that, candidates will also provide the details of the educational qualification.
- Henceforth, candidates need to upload scanned photo & signature in the application form properly.
- Thereafter, candidates need to deposit the application fee & Recheck all details before submission.
- It is also necessary for the applicants to take a printout of the application for future use.
Tamilnadu Civil Services Eligibility Criteria
There are some eligibility criteria which every applicant must fulfill to be eligible to apply for the
Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Exam.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- He must have completed the graduation or any other equivalent three years’ degree from a recognized institute.
- The minimum age should be 20 years for Jharkhand State Police Service, Jharkhand Product Service.
Tamilnadu Civil Services Exam Pattern
There will be three stages in Tamil Nadu PSC Combined Civil Service viz. the Preliminary exam, Main exam (Written Exam), and Oral Test (personality test).
- Firstly, candidates, who have applied for TNPSC Vacancy, they will appear in Pre Exam.
- Pre exam will be of objective nature having weightage of total 300 Marks.
- Candidates need to attain the maximum marks in the preliminary examination to get selected for the next phase of the examination process which is the Main exam.
- The selected candidates will be eligible for the Main examination after qualifying the Preliminary examination.
- The main examination will be held in 3 Parts having three question papers of total 300 Marks each.
- The final selection of the candidates will be based on merit list which will be made by joining the total marks attained by the candidates in the Main exam and interview.
Details about the Preliminary Examination
TNPSC Civil Services Prelims test will be of an objective type having multiple choice questions.
- For the Group – A Service Examination, the question papers will be of General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability which candidates have to pass to be eligible for the main examination.
- The question paper of General Studies will be of graduation level and it will be of 150 marks.
- The total number of questions in the pre-exam will be 150.
- There will be 50 questions from the Aptitude & Mental Ability (SSLC Standard) for 50 marks.

Details about the Main Examination
TNPSC Civil Service Main Exam will be of descriptive (conventional) nature.
There will be three question papers in the Tamil Nadu PSC Main Exam.
Each question paper will be of 100 marks.
The time duration of each question paper will be 3 hours.
The applicants will have options of the language of Tamil or English to answer the questions of the main examination.

Details of the Personality Test
- Thru the personality test/viva voice, candidates’ aptness is tested for the job and the attached responsibility with the job.

Tamilnadu Civil Services Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected for the posts thru the three-level examination. There will be preliminary examination followed by the main examination.
- Candidates who qualify the main examination is called for interview.
