SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria 2020

SSC holds all India level open competitive Examination for the post of ‘Junior Hindi Translator’ (JHT) every year in the month of June. Aspirants, who want to apply for the JHT Examination 2020, can register online with the JHT Application Form 2020 but before that, all the candidates need to fulfill the JHT eligibility criteria for the to apply and appear in the JHT Exam.

Here, all the assiduous applicants have been provided all the essential details of JHT Eligibility Criteria with which they can apply in the JHT examination-

Nationality/Citizenship of the Applicants

Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Probationary Officers’ Examination-
(I) must be citizen of India
(ii) must be subject of Nepal or
(iii) must be subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India                                  (v) a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limitation for appearing in JHT Examination

SSC has set minimum age criteria for appearing in the JHT examination which candidates need to fulfill who want to apply. Candidates are advised to check their age as per the details of the age criteria has been given below-

  • Candidates’ age should not exceed than 30 years as on 01.01.2020.
  • Candidates’ age as specified in the matriculation certificate or in the equivalent certificate will be accepted by the commission when the candidates’ age will be determined by the commission.

Maximum Age Relaxation

Candidates of the reserved category will be provided the relaxation in their age as per the guidelines provided by the Parliament.

The details of the age relaxation has been provided in the table below

The age relaxation is provided to ex-employees and various other categories as well and candidates can need to check the official notification of SSC JE Examination 2020.

Minimum Educational Qualification

For post codes ‘A’ to ‘D’ For post codes ‘E’ For post codes ‘F’ For post codes ‘G’
Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

OR

Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

AND

Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years‟ and experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Offices, including Government of India Undertakings

 

Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, OR

Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective) Note: Candidates must ensure that they have studied English and Hindi as main subjects and not a paper in all the three years of Bachelor of Arts pass course.

Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, OR

Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective) Note: Candidates must ensure that they have studied English and Hindi as main subjects and not a paper in all the three years of Bachelor of Arts pass course.

Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Master’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.

 

Note-Two year’s experience of teaching Hindi is required at Senior Secondary level under Central or State Governments or recognized educational Institution.
