SSC holds all India level open competitive Examination for the post of ‘Junior Hindi Translator’ (JHT) every year in the month of June. Aspirants, who want to apply for the SSC JHT Examination 2022, can register online with the JHT Application Form 2022 but before that, all the candidates need to fulfill the JHT eligibility criteria for the to apply and appear in the SSC JHT Exam.
Here, all the assiduous applicants have been provided all the essential details of JHT Eligibility Criteria with which they can apply in the JHT examination-
Nationality/Citizenship of the Applicants
Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Probationary Officers’ Examination-
(I) must be citizen of India
(ii) must be subject of Nepal or
(iii) must be subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India (v) a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Age Limitation
SSC has set minimum age criteria for appearing in the JHT examination which candidates need to fulfill who want to apply. Candidates are advised to check their age as per the details of the age criteria has been given below-
- Candidates’ age should not exceed than 30 years as on 01.01.2022.
- Candidates’ age as specified in the matriculation certificate or in the equivalent certificate will be accepted by the commission when the candidates’ age will be determined by the commission.
Maximum Age Relaxation
Candidates of the reserved category will be provided the relaxation in their age as per the guidelines provided by the Parliament.

Note-Two year’s experience of teaching Hindi is required at Senior Secondary level under Central or State Governments or recognized educational Institution.
