Every year the Staff Selection Commission conducts a combined recruitment exam for the post of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak in various departments of the government of India. Before moving further, it is also mandatory for every candidate to ensure his/her eligibility status as per the criteria mentioned by the commission.
The application form for SSC JHT may release in April 2021. Given the unpredictable nature of the SSC JHT exam dates, candidates are advised to start their preparation beforehand and stay updated on the exam through this post. SSC JHT Application form Highlights
- The application form for SSC JHT is to be released by the commission in October 2021.
- Applicants can apply for the exam via online mode only. No other mode will be entertained by the authority.
- Physically disabled candidates with disability 40% or more are entitled to the reservation.
- Candidate should submit the form within the time specified to avoid it being getting rejected.
- Candidates should keep the scanned photograph & signature ready while filling the details in the application form.
- The scanned images should be either in JPG or in JPEG format. The images must be clear.
- To complete the submission of the SSC JHT Application form, candidates must pay the required application fee for the same.
- Candidates mustn’t send the printout of the submitted application form to the commission.
- On selection into the service, a candidate might be asked to serve anywhere in the country.
- The details in the application form should be filled as per the matriculation documents of the candidate.
- Candidates need to save the registration number and password for filling the future application forms for different exams conducted by the SSC.

Application Fee
The women candidates, PWD, and the reserved candidates are exempted from paying the application fee for the SSC JHT Application form. However, other candidates need to pay Rs. 100/- for the same.
Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay the required application fee by either of the modes specified-
Online: Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net banking
Offline: SBI Challan
Note: The fee stated above is Non-Refundable and can’t be claimed by a candidate for reimbursement.
How to fill the SSC JHT Application form
The whole application procedure for SSC JHT exam is broken down into two steps: Part-I for Registration and Part-II for application filling. Candidates can go through the below procedure to know how to fill the SSC JHT application form correctly.
Part-I (Registration)
- The first step for registration is to visit the official website or click on the direct link available.
- Now click on the “apply” button at the top of the page.
- Click on the “JHT” tab visible on the screen.
- Search for the “JHT application form“ link and click it.
- You’ll be directed to the registration cum application window.
- Click on the “new registration” link if you’re applying for the first time.
- Fill out the details on the registration form carefully.
- Check your Email ID or phone number for the registration ID and Password. Keep the details safe in case you want to apply for different SSC Exam in the future.
Part-II (Application filling)
- Go to the “apply part” of the exam (refer point 1 to 5 of part-I registration).
- Enter your “registration number” and “password” along with the “security text” mentioned below it. Click “submit” button to proceed further.
- Fill the details asked in the application form such as Mother’s name, gender, religion, caste, address, educational qualification etc.
- Preview the details and make the correction (if needed).
- Now proceed to the application fee payment part.
- Enter the choice of fee payment mode i.e. online or E-Challan.
- Enter the bank details and pay the fee.
- Once the payment is done, click the “submit” button to make a final submission of the SSC JHT application form 2019.
Now go back, and click on the “print application form” tab under apply part to print the form. Keep a printout copy of the submitted SSC JHT application form 2021 for future use.
Note: Applicants who have previously registered for any of the SSC exams can use their OLD REGISTRATION ID and PASSWORD to fill the form directly. No new registration will be required in such case. However, if they’ve forgotten the details then they can retrieve them using “forgot Registration or password” link under the “Apply” part.
Eligibility Criteria
Given below is a brief version of the eligibility criteria that every candidate must fulfill. For an exhaustive and complete version of the same, candidates can follow the page dedicated to it.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have finished their bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or optional subject from a recognized university and Master’s degree in any subject from the recognized university provided that compulsory subjects have been Hindi/English.
Nationality: Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet or PIO from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries.
Age limit: A candidate’s age must not exceed beyond 30 Years. However, age relaxation is given to certain candidates from different categories.
