Candidates aspiring to appear for the SSC GD Constable exam will first need to ensure their eligibility status i.e. whether they are eligible for the exam or not. It is mandatory for every candidate to satisfy the eligibility criteria provided by the commission. If a candidate is found to be ineligible during any stage of the exam, he/she will be permanently debarred from the examination and his/her candidature will be cancelled by the commission. Nationality: Only Indian Citizens are eligible to appear in the SSC Constable GD exam.
Age Criteria: A candidate’s age must lie between 18-23 years as on 1st August 2022. (I.e. A candidate must not have been born earlier than 2nd August 1999 and not later than 1st August 2004)

Note: Only those candidates will proceed for the PET who will qualify the PST Test. After PET, candidates will need to appear for the written exam and medical test and clear the respective exam to be appointed as a constable in CAPFs, NIA, SSA or Rifleman in Assam Rifles.
Application Form
The application form for SSC GD Constable Exam is possible to be released in December. Candidates who satisfy the above mentioned SSC GD constable Eligibility Criteria 2022 can apply for the exam through the official website of SSC. Candidates from J&K, North-East, Left-Wing Extremism affected districts, and border districts will have the choice for opting between the online and offline mode of examination. Candidates need to fill their particulars in the application form carefully since no correction facility will be provided once the form is submitted successfully. Applicants also need to pay a requisite amount of application fee to finish the application form submission.
