SSC SI CAPF 2021: Application Form, Important Dates, Eligibility Criteria

Recruitment of the candidates for the post of Sub Inspector (SI) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) will be done on the basis of a selection test. The exam will consist of Paper I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Application form will be tentatively released in the month of September 2021 through online mode. Clearing the exam also makes the candidates eligible for the post of SI in Delhi Police and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF. SSC CAPF 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Check out the basic eligibility criteria for appearing in the SSC CAPF exam 2021:

  • Nationality: Candidates who are a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan are eligible to apply.

    • Age limit: As on 1st January 2022, the minimum and maximum age of the candidate should be 20 years and 25 years respectively.
    • Educational criteria: Applying candidates should have done graduation from a recognized university/ institute.

  • Physical fitness: The candidates must be physically and medically fit to be considered for the post of CAPF.
  • Other criteria: For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police, male candidates need to hold a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car). No such requirement is there for other posts.

Relaxation in age

A relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to the candidates as per the following rule:

Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date
For the posts of SI and ASI in CAPFs only

SSC CAPF Application Form 2021

The application form for SSC CAPF 2021 will be released in online mode hopefully in the month of September 2021. Candidates can obtain the form by visiting the official website of SSC www.ssc.nic.in.

  • Candidates first need to register themselves providing their basic details in order to obtain the application form.
  • To open the application form, candidates need to use the registration number and password generated during the registration.
  • Now, in the application form, the candidates will have to provide their rest personal, educational and other details.
  • Candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature in the application form in scanned format.
  • Once all the details are entered correctly into the application form, the candidates can submit it along with the prescribed application fee.
  • A printout of the application form should be taken by the candidates and kept safe for reference purpose.

Application fee:

  • Application fee for general/ OBC candidates will be Rs. 100/-.  Candidates of SC/ ST/ Women/ Ex-servicemen (ESM) category are exempted from the fee payment.
  • The candidates can pay the application fee in online mode using credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ BHIM UPI or in offline mode using SBI challan.

SSC CAPF 2021 Exam Pattern

A basic overview of SSC CAPF exam pattern 2021 is provided below:

SSC CAPF Syllabus 2021

The syllabi for both papers in SSC CAPF 2021 exam are provided below:

Paper I:

  • General Knowledge & General Awareness: India and its neighboring countries pertaining to Culture, Economic Scene, History, Geography, General Polity, Awards & Honors, Scientific Research etc
  • Quantitative Aptitude: ratio & Proportion, Averages, Percentage, Profit, Loss & Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mixtures & Alligations, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Quadrilateral & Their Types, Solid & Plane Figures, Graphs, Charts, etc
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Problem Solving, Numerical & Symbolic Operations, Semantic Series, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Figural Series, Drawing Inferences, Word Building, Space Orientation, Figural Classification, etc
  • English Comprehension: Basic Comprehension, Grammar, Vocabulary, Understanding of English and Writing Ability

Paper II:

SSC CAPF 2021 Admit Card

  • Successfully registered candidates will be able to download their admit card from the official SSC website.
  • To download the admit card, the candidates need to provide their registration number and password.
  • The candidates should carry a printout of the admit card and a valid identity proof to the exam center.
  • No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam in case of absence of any of these documents.
  • Admit card will also be required during the further selection process and therefore should be kept safe.

SSC CAPF Result & Selection 2021

  • The authorities will declare the result of the exam on the official regional/ sub-regional website of the commission.
  • Using their roll number, the candidates can check their result to see whether they have qualified or not.
  • Qualified candidates will be called for further rounds of selection such as physical test and document verification.
  • A merit list of the candidates will be drawn as per their marks in the exam and further rounds will be conducted according to the list.
  • A test of English (Paper II) will then be conducted followed a medical exam. Only after clearing these rounds, final selection of the candidates will be done.
  • Candidates will also be allowed to provide their choice for post before making final selection.
