Nationality of the Candidates

All the aspiring candidates who are eager to apply for the post of SBI Specialist Officer (SO)
(I) must be citizen of India
(ii) must be subject of Nepal or
(iii) must be subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India

A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, and Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limitation for SBI SO Exam 2021

SBI conducts independent examination other than IBPS for the posts of Specialist Officers. SBI has decided some age limitation/criteria for candidates as who can apply for the aforementioned post in SBI.

Age Relaxation for SBI SO Exam 2021

All the aspiring candidates who belong to the reserved category shall be provided age relaxation as per the rules decided by Parliament.

Essential details regarding age relaxation for SBI SO examination-2021-

• Candidates who belong to the ‘Scheduled Caste’ and ‘Scheduled Tribe’ shall be provided age relaxation of five years
• Candidates belonging to the OBC category will be provided the age retaliation of three years.
• Candidates having physical disabilities will be provided the age relaxation as following
• Age relaxation will be of 10 years of those candidates who belong to the General category.
• Candidates of OBC category will get age relaxation of 13 years.
• Maximum age relaxation will be provided to the candidates who belong to the SC and ST category.
