OSSTET Syllabus 2021

OSSTET syllabus comprises of the subjects and the topics that the candidates must study in order to score good marks in the exam. Without the knowledge of the OSSTET syllabus 2021, candidates cannot plan an effective strategy to crack the exam with flying colors. To qualify the exam, candidates need at least 60% marks in each paper. Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam but only a few of them get qualify it. OSSTET Syllabus 2021

Candidates should go through the OSSTET exam pattern to know all about the structure in which the exam will be organized. The syllabus of OSSTET is as follows-

Physics syllabus: Motion: Newton’s laws of motion, work, energy and power, conservation of linear momentum, forces of nature, etc., Gravitation: Kepler’s law of planetary motion, law of gravitation, gravitational field and potential, geo-stationery satellites etc. , Properties of matter: elastic module, elasticity, stress , strain, Hooke’s law etc, Sound: sound waves, Newton’s formula, mechanical waves, equation of progressive waves etc., Optics: laws of refraction and reflection, wave optics, image formation in eyes and defects of vision etc, Electrostatics: coulomb’s law, gauss law, resistors, capacitors, dipole charge etc , Current Electricity: ohm’s law, current and voltage measurements, resistance and resistivity, combination of resistances in series and parallel etc , Electromagnetic Induction:  Faraday’s law of EMI, Lenz’s law, eddy current, self and mutual induction, transformers and AC devices etc.

Chemistry syllabus: Basic concepts, States of matter, Structure of atom, Classification of elements and periodicity in properties, Chemical bonding and molecular structure, Chemical reaction, Chemical Equilibria and ionic Equilibria, General principles of extraction of metals, Some basic principles in organic chemistry, and Hydrocarbon.

Mathematics syllabus: Set theory and its application, Relations and functions, Number system, Quadratic equation, Group, Calculus in one variable, Sequence and series, Coordinate geometry, Analytical solid geometry, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry, Mensuration, and Determinants and Matrices.

Botany syllabus: Plant diversity and conservation, Tissue system, Photosynthesis, Growth regulators in plants, Reproduction in plants, Mendelism, Plant disease and control measures.

Zoology syllabus: Taxonomy, Cytology, Genetics, Evolution, Ecology, Nutrition, Respiration, Circulation, Excretion, Control and coordination, and Reproduction and development.

History syllabus: Great rulers of Ancient India, Development of art and architecture during maurya age, gupta age, and kushana age, Development of literature and science in ancient India, Administration during Delhi sultanate with special reference to Balban, Alahuddin khilji, and Feroz shah tuglaq, Mughal architecture and painting during the reign of Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjahan, Rise of British power in India from 1757 to 1856, Growth of Indian nationalism from 1857 to 1905, Indian national movement from 1905 to 1947, First world war and Russian revolution, Second world war- causes and consequences.

Political Science: Salient features of Indian constitution, Fundamental rights, DPSP, Fundamental duties, Union government, State government, Chief secretary and District collector, Local governance, Political parties and pressure groups, Electoral process and Election commission, India’s foreign policy, India’s relationship with its neighbors, UN, Political thoughts, Indian political thoughts.

Geography syllabus: Physical geography of India, Resources with special reference to India, Physical geography, Globe and maps.

Economics syllabus: Indian economy, Current challenges of the Indian economy, Economic development, Money and banking, emerging concerns of Indian economy.

English syllabus: Reading comprehension, English grammar, and usage, pedagogy, etc.

Child development syllabus: Growth and development, Factors affecting different developmental aspects, approaches to understanding the nature of intelligence, addressing problems of adolescence.

Pedagogy syllabus: Understanding the learning process, organizing learning, Critical pedagogy, addressing classroom diversity.

Educational Management syllabus: educational management, management structure at different levels, School development plans, School-based management.

Performance evaluation syllabus: Assessment and evaluation, Assessment and learning, Test construction, recent developments in Assessments.
