Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are advised to check all the eligibility conditions such as age, educational qualification, EWS category, and caste category before applying for the LIC AAO exam. Eligibility Criteria for the recruitment of LIC AAO posts are given below.
Age limit
The minimum age will be 21 years as of 01.01.2024. The maximum age will not be more than 30 years. There will be age relaxation given to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
Education qualification
The educational qualification will be varied for the different AAO posts. The LIC AAO qualification criteria for various posts are given below.
AAO eligibility for IT Post
Candidates must have a graduation degree in Engineering in the stream of Computer Science, Electronics, IT or a degree in M.SC (Computer Science), or MCA from a recognized Indian University/Institution.
AAO Eligibility for the post of Chartered Accountant:
Candidates must have done Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institution. Moreover, the candidate should have cleared the Final exam of ICAI i.e. the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and completed of Articles as prescribed by the ICAI.
He/she should be an Associate Member of ICAI. Candidates will have to provide their ICAI membership number and the same will be verified with the authority.
Qualification criteria for AAO Rajbhasha post:
Candidates should have passed a PG Level Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s Degree level.
Candidates holding a Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s degree level are also eligible to apply.
Candidates who have done a Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level may also apply.
Educational qualification for AAO (Actuarial)
Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized Indian University/Institution are eligible to apply.
They must have qualified papers CT1 and CT5 and 4 or more other tests organized by the Institute of Actuaries of India or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
Applicants are required to provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK/ Institute of Actuaries of India.
LIC AAO salary and Benefits
The basic pay of LIC AAO is Rs. 53600/- per month in the scale of Rs. 53600- 2645(14) –90630– 2865(4) –102090 and other permissible allowances as per rules. Total payments at the minimum of the scale including House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, etc wherever allowable depending upon the classification of the city will be around Rs. 92870/- per month in ‘A’ Class city.
In addition, benefits like Gratuity, Defined Contributory Pension, LTC, Group Mediclaim, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler), Group Insurance, meal coupon, compensation of the cost of Briefcase/leather bags, supply of dailies and magazines, mobile expenses, etc. as per rules are also provided by the organization.
LIC AAO Application Form
Interested and eligible candidates should fill out the online application form on or before the closing date. It is expected that the LIC AAO application form 2024 will be available from January 2024. To apply for LIC AAO, candidates need to visit the official website.
Fill up all the mandatory fields with accurate details. Candidates will have to upload their recent passport-size photograph and a scanned copy of their signature as per the given dimensions.
After the successful submission of the form, candidates have to pay the required application fee. The payment of the LIC AAO application fee will be made online via debit/credit/internet banking. Candidates are advised to take the printout of the e-receipt for further use.

LIC AAO Admit Card 2024
The authority will release a separate admit card for the Prelims and Mains examinations. The admit card of LIC AAO will be available online at the official website of LIC. Candidates who submitted the application form successfully will be allowed to download the admit card by providing their registration details such as application number and password.
LIC AAO 2024 Hall ticket is an important document to bring to the examination centre. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exam without having a valid admit card.

LIC AAO Syllabus 2024
The syllabus of LIC AAO for the prelims exam and mains exam is slightly different. In the prelims exam, the questions will be asked from three subjects whereas the syllabus of the mains exam consists of 4 subjects along with a descriptive test.

LIC AAO Mains Examination Pattern
The LIC Mains exam will be held in online mode. The exam will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and a descriptive test for 25 marks. Candidates will have to type the answer on the computer for the descriptive test. The descriptive test will be done immediately after the completion of the objective test.

Selection Process
LIC AAO Selection will be done through a three-tiered process (prelims, mains, interview) and subsequent Prerecruitment Medical examination. To get selected for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer, candidates need to qualify for each phase successfully.
LIC AAO cutoff
The authority will release the LIC AAO 2024 cutoff after the completion of the exam. The cutoff will be decided by the conducting body by considering some exam factors such as difficulty level, candidate’s maximum score, number of vacancies, and number of participating candidates etc.
Result
The LIC AAO result for Prelims and Mains will be announced separately. The result will be displayed on the official website of LIC AAO. Candidates can check their results by providing their roll number, registration ID and password. Don’t forget to take the printout of the AAO LIC scorecard for future use.
Probation Period
A candidate after being recruited as an Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in LIC will be on a probation period of one year from the date of joining. The LIC AAO probation period may be extended up to two years.
During this period, the performance of candidates will be assessed as per the Corporation policy. If any candidate fails to meet the minimum standard required his/her services may be ended as per the rules and policy of the Corporation.
Guarantee Bond
A candidate recruited for the LIC AAO post will be required to sign a bond to serve LIC for at least four years from the date of joining (including probationary period). In case, the candidate fails to serve the period then he/she or his /her heirs, executors, and administrators will be responsible to pay liquidated damages of Rs. 5,00,000/-only.
