LIC AAO 2021: Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date, Application Form

Selection of the candidates for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist) in Life Insurance Corporation of India will be done on the basis of online exam. The exam will be followed by an interview and medical fitness test.  Those who clear all rounds of selection will be considered for provisional allotment. The candidates can fill their application form in online mode tentatively from the month of December 2020. The online exam is expected to be held in the month of April 2021.

LIC AAO 2021 Major Highlights

  • Other than online, no other mode of application will be accepted. There is no need to send hard copy of any document to LIC office.
  • Visually-impaired candidates, in the need of scribe, can arrange the same at their own cost.
  • Outstation candidates called for interview will be entitled for re-imbursement of Second Class Ordinary to and fro Railway/ Bus Fare by the shortest route.
  • Candidates found guilty of using unfair means at any stage of recruitment will be summarily rejected.
  • A valid and active email id and phone number is a must for filling the application form.

LIC AAO Eligibility Criteria 2021

The candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for LIC AAO 2021:

Nationality:

  • Candidates should be a citizen of India.

Age limit:

  • The age of the candidates as on 1st December 2020 should be in between 21 to 30 years.

Relaxation in the upper age will be applicable as per the following rules:

PWD- SC/ ST 15 years
PWD- OBC 13 years
ECO/ SSCO- General 5 years
ECO/ SSCO- SC/ ST 10 years

Qualification:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any stream from a recognized university/ institute is required.

LIC AAO 2021 Application Form

The application form for LIC AAO 2021 exam will be released hopefully in the 3rd week of December 2020. Candidates can obtain the application form by visiting the official website of LIC www.licindia.in.

  • Candidates will first have to register themselves by providing details such as name, phone number and email id.
  • A provisional registration number & password will be generated and sent on the registered email address.
  • Using the registration number & password, the candidates can fill the rest details in the application form.
  • In the application form, rest personal details and academic qualification of the candidates will be asked.
  • The candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature into the application form.
  • Once all the details are entered into the application form, it can be submitted along with the application fee.
  • The candidates can either the complete application form in one go or in parts by selecting the ‘save and next’ option.
  • It is advised that the candidates take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for further correspondence, if required.

Application fee

  • Candidates belonging to general/ OBC category will have to pay Rs. 600/- as application fee.
  • Application fee for the candidates of SC/ ST/ PWD category will be Rs. 100/-.
  • Pay of the application fee can be done in online mode using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards and Mobile Wallets.

The overview of the LIC AAO 2021 exam pattern is given below:

  • Negative marking: 1/4th of the marks assigned to a particular question will be deducted if it is answered incorrectly.

Admit Card

  • The admit card/ call letter for appearing in the exam will be made available on the official website of LIC.
  • An intimation regarding the availability of admit card will also be sent to the candidates on the registered email id/ phone number.
  • To download the admit card, the candidates will have to provide details such as registration number/ roll number and password/ date of birth.
  • A printout of the admit card should be carried to the exam center along with a photo identity proof.
  • Admit card is an important document that must be kept safe till the complete selection process is over.

LIC AAO 2021 Result & Interview

  • The result of the online exam will be declared tentatively in May 2021 and the qualified candidates will be called for interview.
  • To qualify the online exam, the candidates will have to obtain minimum specified marks in each section as decided by LIC.
  • A merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the online exam.
  • Such candidates will be invited for the interview round as per their names in this list.
  • Candidates who clear the interview round as well will be considered for provisional allotment.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a pre-recruitment medical examination in order to be eligible for appointment.
  • Eligibility criteria and original documents of the candidates will also be verified before providing the appointment.
  • The selected candidates will be on probation for minimum duration of 1 year, extendable up to 2 years.
  • Before joining, the candidates will have to sign a bond of Rs. 2 lakhs for duration of 4 years.
