KTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
KTET 2023 eligibility criteria based on the category of teachers as explained below.
KTET Category 1 (Lower Primary; Class I-V)
- 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and two-year teacher training course (TTC) of Kerala Board. Or
- 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or
- Class 12th or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks + 2-year diploma in Elementary Education. Or
- 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed.
KTET Category 2 (Upper Primary; Class VI-VIII)
- B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.A and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education or Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC). Or
- 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed. Or
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. Or
- 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks + 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed/B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. Or
Kerala TET Category 3 (High School; Class IX – XII)
- B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc. with at least 45% and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Or
- M.Sc.Ed for Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics Teacher with a minimum of 50% marks.
- A degree in the concerned subject.
Kerala TET Category 4 (Language Teacher)
- The candidate should have Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in the selected teaching field from a recognized University/ Kerala Government/ NCTE.
Note: A relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying exam will be given to the candidates from SC/ ST and differently abled categories. Similarly, relaxation of 3% marks will be given to candidates from OBC & OEC categories.
KTET 2023 Application Form
KTET 2023 application form will be released in online mode. Interested and eligible candidates should go through the instructions below in order to apply in an easy manner.
- In order to apply, the aspirants have to visit the official website of Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan.
- On the official website, candidates are required to register as a new user.
- While filling the application form, aspirants have to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
- Applicants should make sure that they enter accurate details only. Otherwise, the candidature of the applicant might get rejected.
- Apart from the details, applicants are required to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph, and signature.
- Next, aspirants have to pay the necessary application fee.
- A confirmation page will be generated once the application form is successfully submitted.
- It is advised to take a printout of the confirmation page for the future requirements.
Application Fee
The application fees for different categories are as follows:
- General: Rs. 500/-
- Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Blind: Rs. 250/-
Mode of Payment: The application fee can be paid online using a credit card/ debit card/ internet baking.
Kerala TET 2023 Admit Card
- Kerala TET 2023 admit card will be made available online.
- To download the admit card, candidates have to provide their Application number, Application ID and category.
- The details about the examination timing and venue will be available on the admit card.
- Candidates have to download the hall ticket (Admit card) and take its printout to the examination centre.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without an admit card.

- Child Development And Pedagogy: Child Development and Learning, Concepts of inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, Learning and pedagogy.
- Language I – Malayalam/Kannada/Tamil: Reading Comprehension – Prose, Reading Comprehension – Poem, Pedagogical aspects of Mother tongue Education, Language, Literature and culture.
- Language II – English/Arabic: Comprehension passage, Grammar, Verbal ability, Pedagogy of language development

KTET 2023 Result
- After conducting the examination, the board will upload the KTET 2-23 result of all the candidates.
- Those candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to check their results by entering their roll number/ registration details.
- Candidates who will score more than qualifying marks will be declared successful.
- Authorities will also make the answer keys available before the announcement of the final result.
- Successful candidates will then be required to produce the original document for verification then only the KTET certificate will be issued.
