KSET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must ensure that they meet the following eligibility criteria before applying online.
Age Limit
- There is no upper age limit in order to appear for this exam. A candidate of any age can apply.
Educational Requirement
- The candidate must have a PG degree in order to appear for the examination.
- The minimum marks required for the candidates of different categories are as follows.
- General – 55% marks
- SC/ ST/ OBC – 50% marks
- Cat. I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIB – 50% marks
- PwD: 50% marks
- Ph.D. candidates completed their degree before 19th September 1991: 50% marks
Exemption
The following candidates are exempted from appearing in the KSET 2023 examination.
- Those who are qualified in NET/SET/SLET.
- Candidates who are qualified in SET before 01 June, 2002 are also exempted from KSET.
- Aspirants who qualified in the UGC-NET/CSIR JRF examination before 1989 are exempted from KSET 2023.

KSET 2023 Application Form
The application form for the KSET 2023 examination will be made available in online mode only. Those candidates who are looking to apply need to fill and submit the application through the official website. The complete application process is explained below.
- To start the application process, applicants first need to visit official website i.e. kset.uni-mysore.ac.in.
- On the official website, candidates then have to register (sign up) as a new user.
- During registration, applicants have to enter some of their basic details including email, mobile number, name, select gender, and date of birth.
- Once registered, the candidates are required to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
- Next, the candidates are required to upload the scanned images of their passport size, and signature.
- After that, the applicants are required to pay the necessary application fee.
- Candidates may submit the application forms if all the details entered are correct.
- It is advised to take a printout of the application confirmation page and fee receipt for future references.
Application Fee
The application fees for the candidates for various categories are as follows.
- General: Rs. 1150/-
- Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB: Rs. 950/-
- Category I, SC, ST, and PwD: Rs. 650/-
Mode of Payment: The application fee can be paid either in online or offline mode as given below.
- Online mode: In online mode, the fees can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking.
- Offline mode: To pay the fees in online mode, candidates can take a print of the bank challan from the official website. This challan is needs to be submitted in the bank along with the fees in cash.
Admit Card
- The applicants who will submit the application form along with the fees before the last date will be able to download their admit cards online.
- The link to download the admit card will be made available on the official website.
- To download the admit card, candidates have to provide their registration details.
- Important information like date, time, and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card.
- No candidate will be allowed to take the exam without an admit card.

KSET 2023 Syllabus

Result
- Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to check the result by visiting the official website.

- The candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of two papers.
