Educational Qualification

| Assistant Account Officer | MBA (Finance) or M.Com or pass in ICWA or CA |
| Assistant | Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university of Karnataka. |
| Junior Assistant | Diploma in Accountancy and Auditing or Accountancy and Costing awarded by the State Council of Vocational Education, Govt. of Karnataka or PUC qualification |
Candidates of General category need to obtain at least 60% marks in qualifying examination (50% for category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB and pass marks for SC/ST).
Age Criteria
Candidates should be minimum 18 years old as on last date for receiving of application form. However, the upper age criterion is as follows:
- General merit category- 35 years;
- Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB- 38 years;
- Category I and SC/ST- 40 years

KPTCL 2022 Selection Procedure
KPTCL selection procedure will be strictly based on candidates’ merit in online aptitude test and according to the reservation norms of Government of Karnataka. Below I’m sharing with exam pattern of Aptitude test:
- The type of questions will be multiple choices only;
- Exam duration- 2 hours;
- Total marks- 100 marks;
- Positive mark: +1
- Negative mark: -0.25
- Language mode of the question paper for Group A & B post- English;
- Language mode of the question paper for Group C post- Kannada or English
- Expected exam centres: Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Davanagere, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi and Kalaburgi (Gulbarga).
