Karnataka TET 2024: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date

Karnataka TET 2024 notification might release in July 2024, and candidates interested in appearing for this exam may submit their application forms online. Candidates who clear this exam will be awarded eligibility certificate based on which they can apply for the post of teachers in different schools of Karnataka.

There will be two exam papers- Paper I for teachers in classes 1 to 5 and Paper II for teachers in classes 6 to 8. Candidates can appear in either or both of them.

Karnataka TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to appear for KARTET 2024 for both papers are provided below:

For Paper I:

Candidates with any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply:

  • PUC or class 12th exam with at least 50% aggregate marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
  • PUC or class 12th exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • Senior Secondary exam scoring not less than 50% marks in aggregate and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • BA/ B.Sc along with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

For Paper II:

Candidates with any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply:

  • PUC or class 12th exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • PUC or class 12th exam with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and 4-year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed
  • BA/ B.Sc scoring not less than 50% marks in aggregate and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
  • BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% aggregate marks and 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
  • BA/ B.Sc with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year Bachelor of Education (Special Education)

For Paper I and Paper II both:

Candidates with any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply:

  • PUC or class 12th exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • BA/ B.Sc along with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

Karnataka TET Application Form 2024

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can fill and submit their application form for Karnataka TET online. The application form can be obtained from the official website of the Department of Public Education, Karnataka www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in.

  • Basic details of the candidates such as name, gender, category, date of birth, email address, mobile number, etc will be asked in the application form.
  • Details related to their academics should also be provided by the candidates in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature will be uploaded in the application form as well.
  • Choice of paper(s) in which you wish to appear and the district where you want your exam center to be should be provided carefully in the application form.
  • Duly filled application form can then be submitted online with the required amount of application fee.
  • A printout of the submitted application form should be taken and kept by the candidates for future reference.
  • There is no need to send the hard copy of the application form or any other document to the department’s office.

Karnataka TET 2024 Admit Card

  • Admit card for appearing in Karnataka TET will be made available for download on the official website www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in.
  • The candidates should take a printout of the downloaded admit card and carry it to the exam center with them.
  • On the admit card, details like name, father’s name, category, roll number of the candidate and date, time, venue of the exam will be printed.
  • Admit card is an important document that should be kept safe by the candidates until they receive the eligibility certificate.
  • In case of loss or damage, no duplicate admit card will be provided to the candidates.

Karnataka TET Result 2024

  • The result of the candidates who appeared in the eligibility test will be declared through online mode.
  • Candidates will be able to check their result by visiting the official website of the Department.
  • Qualified candidates will then be provided the ‘Certificate of Eligibility’ given that they get their documents and eligibility verified first.
  • Those with the certificate can apply for the post of primary and upper primary teachers into different schools of the state.

FAQs

Can I apply for KARTET 2024 through offline mode?

No. The KARTET application form will release in online mode only. There is no provision for filling or submitting the application through offline mode is provided.

Can I appear for both paper I and II?

Given that you satisfy the eligibility criteria you can apply for both papers I and II.

Is there any way to get refund on the application fee?

The application fee once submitted will not be refunded or transferred under any condition.

How can I get an exam center of my choice?

You can provide the choice for district where you want your exam center to be. Exact center will be allotted by the authorities in your chosen district.

Do the authorities release answer key for the test?

The authorities might release the TET answer key before the declaration of the result.
