After Candidates appear in the examination, the time between the commencement of the examination and the announcement of the result is the time of restlessness and dishevelment for all the aspirants. As the days pass till the date when the result is to be announced, candidates’ heart beats rise with the thoughts of the result as what is going to happen.
- All the candidates are advised not to discontinue their study even after the examination. If candidates will sit idle, it will be a complete waste of time.
- Be calm and have patience. If you have made true effort and worked really hard for the examination; you will certainly have good news with your result.
Important dates
The result for the IFS examination will be published on the official website of UPSC for all the three stages. Candidates can download the result from the official site. The results will be in the pdf format and the pdf file will contain the names and the roll number of all successful candidates.
- The result for the Preliminary examination is announced in the month of September/October.
- The result for the main examination arrives in the month of January/February.
- Candidates will get the final result for the IFS examination in the month of May.
