The Indian Bank PO Exam Pattern 2022 in detail for both preliminary and main exam is provided below:
Preliminary Exam
- Duration of examination: A total time of 1 hour will be given to complete the exam. No section-wise time limit is provided.
- Mode of examination: The exam will be conducted in online mode which means it will be a computer-based test.
- Medium of examination: The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi language (except for ‘English Language’ section, which will only be in English language).
- Total number of questions: A total of 100 questions will be asked in the paper.
- Type of questions: Objective type questions will be asked in the exam.
- Total marks: The paper will carry a total of 100 marks.
- Negative marking: In case of an incorrect answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

Note: It is mandatory for the candidates to clear each section of the preliminary test by securing minimum cut-off marks as decided by Bank.
Main Exam
- Duration of examination: The duration of exam will be 3 hours. There is also a section-wise time limit prescribed, given as in the table below. An additional test of 30 minutes will be conducted for English language Letter Writing & Essay. This makes the total duration of exam as 3 hours 30 minutes.
- Mode of examination: The mode of the exam will be online, i.e. computer-based test.
- Medium of examination: Except for section of ‘English Language’, the question paper will be bilingual (both in English and Hindi). ‘English Language’ questions will only be in English.
- Total number of questions: 155 questions will be asked in the exam and 2 additional questions will be for English Letter Writing & Essay.
- Type of questions: Objective type questions will be asked except for the 2 questions of English Letter Writing & Essay which will be descriptive in nature.
- Total marks: The total marks will be 225 in which 25 marks will be for the descriptive questions (English Letter Writing & Essay).
- Negative marking: One-fourth of the marks allotted to a particular question will be deducted if it is answered incorrectly.

Interview Round
The candidates shortlisted after the Main examination will have to appear for an interview. The interview will carry a total of 100 marks. The weightage of the Main examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
Indian Bank PO Admit Card 2022
The admit card/ call letters for Indian Bank PO exam will be made available in online mode. The admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered email id. The admit card for preliminary and mains exam will be released separately. The candidate must carry their admit card to the exam center in order to appear for the exam.
