Syllabus for the English Language

  • Fundamental knowledge of English is tested in nearly each and every examination these days. Candidates are anticipated to keep a common understanding of the English language.
  • Candidates will be asked questions from the vocabulary section i.e. synonyms, antonyms, homonyms and word formation etc.
  • Questions from English grammar portion will also be there which will include questions from active-passive voice, direct-indirect narration, sentence errors.
  • A candidate is expected to have knowledge of the common usage of phrases idioms and proverbs as well.
  • English comprehension/ unseen passages will be given where questions will be from sentence completion, passage completion, finding the theme of the passage, Rearrangement of the passage.

Syllabus for Reasoning and Mental Ability

  • Questions on reasoning are asked in most of the examinations to check candidate’ logical mental ability.
  • Candidates might have excellent learning abilities but do they have problem solving abilities with their brain and IQ? This is what tested through the reasoning test.
  • In the reasoning test, questions will be from verbal and non-verbal reasoning, questions on judgments, coding and decoding, questions on number series, data sufficiency, blood relation, sitting arrangements, Venn diagram, Alpha Numeric sequence etc.

Syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation

  • The test of quantitative Aptitude will comprise of arithmetic calculations and data interpretation.
  • The test has been designed to check the candidates’ ability of calculation and computation with numbers with maximum accuracy and most possible speed.
  • The data interpretation will include the questions of graphs, charts and tables. Candidates need to understand the graph, table or chart within a bit of time and then they will be asked to give the answers of the respective questions.

Syllabus of General Awareness

General awareness is the key thing which is asked nearly in all examinations so is the part of IBPS RRB syllabus 2022 which will include the following topics-

  • Candidates must have the knowledge of economic affairs, government schemes, general science and its applications which has a daily impact on human life.
  • Current affairs of previous year, Countries and their Currencies, Economy of India, recent trends in International Economy.
  • Banking terminology, author and books, RBI, Monetary Policies, Repo rate, reverse repo rate etc., Banks and their social responsibilities, UNO, Marketing, Honors and awards, Sports, Finance, Agriculture, History of Banking etc.

Syllabus of Financial Awareness

Candidates will be asked questions related to the economy, financial issues, Banking systems and Government financial schemes. Different terminology of banks, bank rates, loan and their categories, types of bank accounts etc.

Syllabus of Computer Knowledge

Candidates must have knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Office Applications as ‘word’, ‘excel’, ‘power point’, ‘access’ etc., input and output device, computer memory, internet are the topics related to the computer which an aspirant is anticipated to have for daily banking processes.
