IBPS PO Interview: Leave Your Best Impression on the Interview Board

IBPS PO Interview: ‘Interview’, it’s a conjunct word of two constituents viz. ‘inter’ and ‘view’. Here, inter refers to the word ‘internal’ and view refers to the word ‘opinion’. The interview is the stage where candidates reach after qualifying the written phase of the examination. The people who interview the candidates are already aware that the contender sitting before him has already shown the proof of his knowledge by qualifying the exam. Through the interview, they tend to analyze the internal opinions and personal perspectives of the candidate. What an aspirant think personally about a specific situation, is just the purpose of the interviewers. The IBPS interviewers also conduct the interview with the same approach.

Any candidate doesn’t need to be afraid of IBPS PO interview as it will be a general conversation where questions will be just to analyze candidates’ mental and psychological outlook. If you are the one who has got a call for an interview from the IBPS Board, you just need to show the board what you are in reality.

What do you need to study for the preparation of Interview ?

As there is no specific syllabus for IBPS Interview 2022, however, there are some tips and sample questions which will certainly be of maximal help.

  • It’s you who will be the whole subject of the interview. Therefore prepare about ‘yourself’. Prepare about what belongs to you such as your educational qualifications, subjects you have studied, your previous job, your personality and most importantly your thoughts and opinions.
  • Prepare about where you belong to and it will comprise your home district, your home state, and your nation of course! You need not to collect the factual information rather focus on the relevant aspects and generate your own ideology.
  • The third one is the most important aspect which is the organization you are going to be part of. How and in what ways you can be helpful for the organization where you will work. And that’s all, in fact, more than enough!

Common Questions which might appear in Interview

As it is obvious that there will be no definite pattern of questions for an interview but on the basis of the previous record and present analysis, questions may be as given below:

  1. Give me your brief.

Interviewers, in fact, will have all the details about you on the table but they just want to know how you present the details about yourself before the interview board. It’s not the interviewer who takes the interview; it’s you who gives the interview. Is it ridiculous, no, it’s not? Yes, it will be you who will provide the information to the board and the whole interview will be on the basis of the information which you tell the interviewer.

While answering this question, tell the board about the native place you belong to. Except this, tell them about your educational qualification, your previous job (if any), your interests and hobbies, your role for the welfare of society in the past (if any). Be specific, not generally as it will turn on the trigger for further questions.

  1. What inspired you to join the banking industry?

Here, candidates have the opportunity to leave their impression on the interview board. Think now about the all positive attributes which motivated you to be part of the banking sector. With your answer, you can show the board that you are an ambitious person. You can give the reason for the financial inclusion of rural India to the mainline banking system.

  1. What benefits will you be able to confer to the banking sector with your educational qualification?

You might be having the degree of BA, B.Sc., B.Com, B.Pharm, or any other and it makes a difference. But candidates need not be shy at the moment as interviewers are generally keen to know some professional and ethical traits which candidates need to have. Tell the board that the subjects you have studied helped them learn the value of time, punctuality, and teamwork etc.

  1. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

It will be easier for you to find out the strengths within you and you will not be hesitated to keep them before the interview board but what to do with weaknesses. Your strengths can be many like you are a hard worker; you are honest and punctual and you will bravely share them with the board but while sharing your weaknesses, it will be good to be on the safe side. Never tell them that you are a shirk-worker even if you are. Tell them that sometimes you become over-anxious when you leave your assignments pending for the next day. Find out such some of the other weaknesses which have some strength on the other side.

  1. Give us reasons to hire you.

This is a quite normal question. Here, you just need to prove how you can be of significance for the banking sector. You need to put some of your opinions and your abilities before the board and tell them that you have the attributes which can bring easiness in banking tasks. Be open to tell them about yourself how and in what ways you can be productive for the banking sector.
