Why ‘Admit Card’ is issued?
Admit card is like an entry pass issued by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to the candidates which permit authorization to the candidates to appear in the examination.
- Without the admit card no candidate will be allowed to enter into the examination centre and appear in the Probationary Examination.
- Admit Card is issued as an identity proof which candidates need to show to the authority before they make their way into the examination hall.
What information does the admit card hold?
- The admit card issued by IBPS to all the aspirants of Probationary Officer’s Examination has candidate’s photo and Name.
- The admit card holds the roll number allotted to the candidate by IBPS and on the basis of the roll number candidates will be provided the seat in the examination room.
- The admit card comprises the venue of the examination where the examination will be conducted.
- On the back side of the admit card, there will be the essential instructions for all the candidates about what to bring at their examination centre and what not.

- The admit card for the IBPS Probationary officer Examination can be downloaded through the official site of IBPS that is ‘www.ibps.in’.
- By inputting the registration number and the password or candidates date of birth, the site will provide the web link to the candidates where they can download the admit card from.
- It is highly advisable to all the candidates to bring their admit card at the examination centre on the examination day.
- It has already been made clear that without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to make their entry in to the examination.
Important Note about the Examination
- When candidates download the admit card from the online link provided on the website, they need to check all the details in the admit card of IBPS PO exam.
- Candidates need to check their name and date of birth and most importantly their photo.
- The photograph should be clear in the admit card and if it is not so, all the candidates are advised to take their any additional ID proof with them to the examination centre.
- Candidates can take any document issued by the government as their additional ID card like, the Adhar card, Voter ID card; Driving License, Pen Card and candidate should prefer the ID card in which their photograph is clear.
