HP TET 2023: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria & Exam Pattern

HP TET 2023: Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBSE) conducts the Himachal Pradesh Teacher’s Eligibility Test (HPTET) every year as the eligibility test for teaching jobs in the primary and secondary schools of the state of Himachal Pradesh.  The candidates can apply for the examination through the official website of HPBSE after ensuring their eligibility for the test. The examination is commenced for the TGT posts in the subjects of Arts, Non-Medical & Medical, Shastri, L.T., JBT, Punjabi, and Urdu.

HP TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants need to fulfill the eligibility criteria to be eligible to take part in the HP TET 2023. The norms for the HP TET 2023 eligibility Criteria have been given in the following points:

Eligibility Criteria for TGT (Arts)

• Candidates must have passed their senior secondary exam (12^th) with minimum 45% marks.
• He must have a bachelor degree in arts and commerce with 50% marks in elementary education.
  

Eligibility Criteria for TGT (Non-Medical)

• Candidates must have passed the higher secondary school exam with minimum of 50% marks.
• The candidate must have a bachelor degree viz., B.Sc. or B.Ed. and must have obtained 50% in elementary education.
  

Eligibility Criteria for TGT (Medical)

• Candidates must have completed the higher secondary school education with 50% marks.
• Candidates must be the holder of bachelor level degree and must have secured 50% marks in the elementary education.

Eligibility Criteria for‘Shastri’:

• Candidates must have qualified the‘Shastri’ with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university by Himachal Pradesh Government.
  

Eligibility Criteria for Hindi Language teacher

• Candidates must have a bachelor level degree and must have studied Hindi as one of the subjects.
  

Eligibility Criteria for Punjabi language teacher

• Candidates must have completed bachelor level degree in Punjabi or presently appearing in the final year of diploma course 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Urdu Language teacher

• Candidates must have a bachelor degree (arts)where he must have studied Urdu as one of the subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for junior basic training

• Candidates must have qualified the senior secondary school exam with 50% marks and must have completed the bachelor degree also.
  

Age Limit for HP TET
Candidates’ age should not be less than 21 years to appear for the HP TET 2023.

HP TET Application Form 2023

• HP TET Application Form 2023 will be available on the official website of the HPBSE.
• Candidates can fill and submit the application in the required format with the correct information.
• Candidates will have to attach the scanned photo and signature in the application form.
• There will be an application fee which every applicant will pay before making the submission of the application form.
• The application fee will Rs. 800 for all the candidates of the general category while the application fee for the candidates of the reserved category such as SC and ST will be Rs. 500.
• It is necessary for the applicants to take the printout of the application form with the registration number for the future reference.

HP TET Exam Pattern 

• There will be an objective question paper having multiple choice answers.
• The total number of questions in the exam will be 150.
• The total time to solve the question paper will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• Candidates will be required to attain minimum 60% marks.
• Candidates will be invited to appear for the interview after the commencement of the HP TET 2018.

HP TET Admit Card 2023

• After the submission of the HP TET application form, HPBSE will release the admit card for the eligibility test.
• The admit card will be available on the official website of the HPBSE.
• Candidates can download the admit card in the pdf format and take printout of the same which will be required to be brought at the exam center
• The admit card will have details such as exam centre, date, timing and the reporting time at the examination centre.
  

HP TET Result 2023

• The result for the Himachal Pradesh TET 2023 will be announced through the official website of the HPBSE.
• Candidates can check the result of the HP TET 2023 by providing the roll number and the date birth in the given fields on the result page.
• Candidates will be invited for a personal interview after the announcement of the result of the exam.
