How to Fill NDA Application Form?

The NDA application form will be released in online mode on the official website of UPSC. The candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam needs to fill this application form and submit it on or before the last date. The candidates must fill NDA Application Form 2021 with complete accuracy as incorrect form is liable for rejection. The candidates will have to provide all the necessary details asked in the application form and submit it with the required application fee. The candidates who fulfill all the eligibility requirements can proceed to fill NDA Application Form 2021.

Step-by-step Instructions to Fill Application Form

NDA Application Form 2021 will be released on UPSC website upsconline.nic.in and the interested candidates can apply online. The complete application form will be available in two parts- Part 1 and Part 2. The step-by-step instruction to fill NDA Application Form 2021 is provided below:

Registration Part 1

Visit the official website and click on the link ‘Online application for various examinations of UPSC’ to avail the online application form for NDA. You will find two links to fill the application form, one for Part 1 and other for Part 2. Click on the link for Part 1. A new page will appear consisting of the important information regarding the application filling process. Read all the instructions carefully and then click on ‘yes’.

Step 1: Providing Basic Details

The application form will appear on the screen and the candidates will have to provide their personal, educational, contact and other details into the form. The personal details will involve the candidates’ name, age, date of birth, gender, nationality, etc. The educational details involve the information related to the qualifying exam such as year of passing, marks obtained, name of the board/university, etc.

Step 2: Selection of Preference and Exemption from Application Fee

The candidates will also have to provide their preference for branch (Indian Army, Indian Air Force or Indian Navy) into the application form. The candidates who are exempted from paying the application fee will have to click on ‘yes’ in the Fee Exemption claimed Field. Such candidates will not be taken to the payment page (Please see below about fee payment).

Step 3: Editing in the Information Provided in the Form

After providing all the details asked in the NDA application, the candidates will have to click on continue button. On the next page, the candidates will be able to verify the details entered by him in the application and any editing can be done by clicking on the ‘update’ button. If no modification is required, click directly on ‘I Agree’ button.

Step 4: Printout of Slip after successful registration

As you click on ‘I Agree’ button, a registration id will generate and the Part 1 registration process is complete. Click on the ‘Print slip’ and ‘print application part 1’ button to take the printouts of the important pages.

Registration Part 2

The candidates after completing the part 1 of registration can now fill Part 2 of NDA application form. The candidates will have to enter their registration id and date of birth to obtain the part 2 registration page.

Step 1: Payment of Application Fee

An application fee of Rs. 100/- needs to be submitted either through online mode or offline mode. The online fee payment can be done using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card. The offline fee payment can be done by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash.

Exemption from paying the fee:

Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted form fee payment. The sons of serving/ex-Junior Commissioned Officers/Non-Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks of Army and equivalent ranks in the Indian Navy/Indian Air Force are not required to pay the prescribed fee if they are studying in Military School (formerly known as King George’s School)/Sainik School run by Sainik Schools Society.

Step 2: Selection of Examination Center

The candidates will be provided the opportunity to select any exam center of their choice where they wish to appear for the exam.

Step 3: Uploading of Photograph and Signature

The scanned copies of candidate’s photograph and signature will also be uploaded in the application form. The candidates must upload their photograph and signature in .jpg format with the file size between 3 kb – 40 kb for photograph and 1 kb – 40 kb for signature.

Step 4: Reading and Agreeing to the Declaration

This will be the last step towards filling the NDA Application Form 2020. Read carefully the declaration and click on ‘I have read declaration & agree’ button to complete the process of application form filling.

Click on the ‘print application’ button to take a printout of the complete application form and keep it safe for future reference.

NDA Admit Card

After the process of application form is over, the admit card of the successfully registered candidates will be uploaded on the official website. Only the candidates who submit their application successfully will be able to download their admit card. A valid admit card is mandatory to be carried to the exam center or the candidates will not be allowed to enter in the exam hall.
