UPSC CAPF AC Eligibility Criteria 2022

The Union Public Service Commission annually holds the recruitment test for the post of Assistant Commandant in Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Those wishing to appear for the examination must fill the form via online mode. Before that, aspirants must go through the UPSC CAPF AC eligibility criteria 2022 laid down by the commission. Ineligible candidates won’t be allowed to participate in the exam.

Candidates should make sure that they fit the necessary eligibility conditions to appear in the exam by checking the UPSC CAPF AC eligibility criteria 2022. UPSC CAPF AC eligibility criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria for UPSC CAPF AC exam are as follows-

Nationality

The candidate should be an Indian citizen. However, the subject of Nepal and Bhutan can also apply but they need to provide written consent of the Central Government as per the rules.

Sex

Both male and female applicants can apply for the post of Assistant Commandant in CAPF through the examination.

Age Criteria

A candidate must be at least 20 years old and maximum 25 years old as on 1st August 2022 i.e. he/she should not have been born earlier than 2nd August 1996 and not later than 1st August 2001. Age relaxation benefit can be claimed by the reserved category candidates.

Minimum Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification. Those appearing in the final year of the graduation can also apply for the examination provided that they produce the proof of having passed the concerned examination at the time of PET tests and document verification.

Carrying angle: The carrying angle for male candidates should not exceed 15 degrees and 20 degrees for women applicants.

Ear:

  • Candidate should not have any degree of deafness or persistent ear discharge.
  • Candidate should not have any other condition (congenital or acquired) like atresia of the meatus, exostosis, neoplasm which is causing obstruction of ear passage and should not have a history of a recurrent earache, tinnitus, and vertigo.

Nose: Applicants should not have DNS, atrophic rhinitis, tubercular ulceration, chronic sinusitis.

Neck: Candidates should not have enlarged lymph nodes, thyroid or other swelling of neck, inability to extend the neck fully or any evidence of disease of spine or cervical vertebrae.

Teeth: Candidates must possess a sufficient number of sound teeth for efficient mastication. Candidate should not have severe pyorrhea.

Venereal Disease: Candidates should not have active signs of clinical VD

Chronic Skin Disease: Applicants should not have chronic skin diseases like Leprosy, chronic dermatitis, extensive Pityriasis Versicolor, psoriasis, SLE etc.

General Medical Standards

  • Candidates shouldn’t stammer and must speak clearly without impediments.
  • They should not have any indication of chronic disease like TB, any type of arthritis, high blood pressure, Diabetes, Bronchial Asthma, any heart disease.
  • They should not have perceptible and visible glandular swelling anywhere in the body.
  • The chest should be well-formed, devoid of any abnormality like flat chest, Pigeon chest, with rickety rosary defects. Heart and lungs should be sound.
  • Limbs, hands and feet should be well-formed and fully developed and there shall be a perfect motion of all joints.
  • They should not have any old /malunited fracture of bones.
  • There should be free and perfect movements of all the joints.
  • Feet and toes should be well-formed
  • They should not have congenital malformation or defects.
  • They should not bear traces of previous acute or chronic disease pointing to an impaired constitution.
  • Candidates should have no disease of the genitourinary tract.
  • Candidates should have no inguinal, scrotal swelling, any type of Hernia.
  • (Only for male) Both the testicles are in the scrotum and of normal size.
  • The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins.
  • They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
  • Candidates should not suffer from TACHYCARDIA (more than 100 pulse rate per minute) or BRADYCARDIA (Less than 50 per minute).
  • Candidates should not suffer from Hernia, hemorrhoids, condylomata prolapse rectum.

Note: The candidate must have completed six (06) months after LASIK surgery while considering for recruitment in CAPFs.

Tattoo Clause

Content Tattoos depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are permitted.
Location The Tattoo should be marked on traditional sites of the body like the inner aspect of forearm but only left forearm, being nonsaluting limb or dorsum of the hands.
Size The size should be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

After fulfilling the UPSC CAPF AC eligibility criteria 2022, candidates can proceed towards the filling of the online application form. The form can be obtained from the official website of the UPSC. Candidates need to fill the form in two parts i.e. Part-I and Part-II registration. The details in the form should be entered very carefully as once the form is submitted, no change request in the particulars will be permitted by the authority.

Candidates also need to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the form. They must pay the application fee of Rs. 200 for the exam. Female candidates and SC/ST candidate need not pay the fee to appear in the exam. Applicants should review their applications before the final submission. They should take the printout of the filled-in application form and keep it safe for later use.
