CTET 2022 July notification is releasing soon @ctet.nic.in: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the authority responsible for conducting and manage Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2022). This test is conducted twice in a calendar to determine the eligibility of aspirants to work as a teacher in class 1st to 8th. This exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Those aspirants who want to teach the students of class 1st to 5th need to take Paper I. Similarly, candidates looking to teach the students of class 6th to 8th have to take Paper II. In this article, we are going to provide all the necessary details related to the CTET 2022 examination.

CTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the CTET exam are different for Paper -1 and Paper – 2. Given below are the eligibility criteria for both the papers.

Educational Qualification for Class 1st to 5th (Paper – I)

  • The aspirants must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or
  • A candidate should have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam securing minimum 45% marks and has cleared or appearing in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002. Or.
  • Those candidates who have passed the senior secondary or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and have cleared or appearing in the final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration) are also eligible. Or.
  • Applicants must have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and have cleared or appearing in the final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). Or.
  • Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree and have cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).

Educational Qualification for Class 6th and 8th (Paper 2)

  • Aspirants must have a Bachelor’s degree and have passed or is appearing in final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or
  • Candidates should have completed graduation with 40% marks and have cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations. Or
  • The aspirant must have completed 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years). Or
  • Applicants should have cleared the senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A/ B.Sc.Ed. Or
  • A candidate who has a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in B.Ed program of 1 year duration.

CTET 2022 Application Form

The application form for CTET 2022 will be made available in online mode only. Aspirants who are eligible need to visit the official website i.e. www.ctet.nic.in in order to access the application form. Given below is the complete process of application explained.

  • First of all, aspirants have to visit the official website i.e. www.ctet.nic.in.
  • On the official website, candidates have to register themselves by providing some of their basic details including name, mother’s name, phone number, email address, etc.
  • After registration, candidates have to sign-in using the credential generated at the time of the registration.
  • Then, in the next step, aspirants are required to provide their educational, personal, and contact details in the main application form.
  • At the time of entering the details, candidates have to choose the Exam Centre and the medium of exam for CTET 2022. Please note that you may attempt the exam in English or Hindi.
  • Some of the other details that should be entered in the application form are category, aadhar number, etc.
  • In addition to the details, candidates also need to upload the scanned images of their latest photograph and signature. The images must be uploaded in .jpg/ .jpeg format.
  • After submitting the application form, candidates must also need to pay the required application fee.
  • It is recommended that aspirants must take a printout of the application form submitted and fee receipt.

The application fee for CTET 2022 exam is given below.

For Single Paper 

  • General and OBC candidates: Rs. 1000/-
  • SC/ ST/ PWD candidates: Rs. 500/-

For Both Papers

  • General and OBC candidates: Rs. 1200/-
  • SC/ ST/ PWD candidates: Rs. 600/-

Mode of payment: The application fee can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking.

CTET 2022 Admit Card

  • After the application form submission, candidates will be able to download the admit card in online mode.
  • In order to download the admit card, aspirants have to enter their registration details.
  • The information about the date, time, and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall and take the exam without an admit card.
  • Candidates should a copy of the admit card safe even after the exam as it might be required at the time of the recruitment process.

For Paper – 1:

  • Marking Pattern: Each question will carry 1 mark

CTET 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus of CTET 2022 is quite vast and different for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Given below are the subject wise important topics from Paper 1.

  • Child Development: Child Development (Primary School Child): Concept of development and its relationship with learning, Principles of the development of children, Influence of Heredity & Environment, Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias and educational practice, Piaget, Kohlberg and Vygotsky: constructs and critical perspectives, Concepts of child-centered and progressive education, Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence, Multi-Dimensional Intelligence, etc.

CTET 2022 Result

  • It is expected that the authorities will declare the result of CTET 2022 four after conducting the examination.
  • The result will be made available in online mode through the official website only.
  • To check the result, aspirants have to provide their roll number and other registration details.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to score at least 60% marks for general candidates in order to clear the CTET exam.
  • Those candidates who will score more than cut off marks will be declared successful.

Answer: The CTET score remains valid for 7 years.
