Assam SLET 2023 application form will release online tentatively in November 2022. The Assam State Level Eligibility Test (Assam SLET) is conducted to shortlist the candidates who are eligible for the post of Assistant Professor. Qualified candidates can apply for the Assistant Professor post in different government colleges of the Assam state. A certificate of eligibility will be awarded to those who clear this exam. The application form for the SLET exam will be released in online mode tentatively in the month of November 2022. Assam SLET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed below can appear for Assam SLET 2023 exam:

  • Any Indian national candidates can apply.
  • Candidates with a master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university scoring not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) are eligible.
  • The applicants in the final year of their master’s degree in the year 2023 who will obtain the degree before a prescribed date can apply too.
  • PhD degree holders whose masters level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.

Assam SLET 2023 Application Form

  • Candidates who wish to appear in the eligibility test must apply online through website www.sletneonline.co.in
  • To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and educational details.
  • Scanned copies of candidate’s photograph, signature, master’s degree certificate & mark sheet, category certificate and disability certificate should be uploaded in the form. All these documents (except photograph & signature) should be self-attested.
  • The candidates should check all the details entered into the application form carefully and make any corrections if required.
  • After this, the application form can be submitted online and generate their unique application id.
  • Upon successful submission of the application form, challan will be generated for fee payment. Application process completes only after the application fee payment.
  • Once the application process completes, an Acknowledgement Slip will be generated that should be kept for future reference along with the copy of submitted application form.

Candidates can pay their application fee by taking a printout of the challan generated after 2 days of completing online application in any State Bank of India Branch.

Admit Card

  • Candidates can download their admit card for appearing in the SET exam from the website sletneonline.co.in using their application id.
  • The admit cards will not be sent through post, courier or any such means to the individual candidates.
  • In the admit card, the details of the exam (center and schedule) will be mentioned. Candidates should appear for the exam on the mentioned exam center only.
  • It is suggested to preserve the admit card even after the exam as the eligibility certificate will be given to the selected candidates only after producing the admit card.

Result

  • Assam SLET 2023 result will be declared online and can be checked by the candidates by visiting the official website.
  • The qualified candidates can get their marks from the commission’s website after 7 days from the date of result announcement.
  • Candidates not satisfied with the result may send a written request to the Member Secretary SLET Commission (NE Region) for rechecking with a DD of Rs. 5000/- in favor of Member Secretary, SLET Commission, drawn on SBI, Gauhati University Branch (2060) within 15 days from the declaration of result.

Assam SLET 2023 Certificate

  • Candidates who clear the eligibility test will be awarded with a pass certificate.
  • The certificate will be issued after 45 working days from the date of announcement of the result.
  • Applicants may collect the Pass Certificate personally or through any messenger duly authorized by them.
  • To obtain the certificate, the candidates must show the following documents in original- Mark sheet of post graduation final year exam, Caste Certificate/ Special Category Certificate (if applicable) and SET admit card.
  • The cost of certificate is Rs. 250/- which can be paid through a Bank Draft in favor of Member Secretary SLET Commission, NE Region drawn on SBI Gauhati University Branch (2060).

Question 1: Is there any age limit prescribed for the post of Assistant Professor?

Answer: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professors.

Question 2: What will be the validity of the pass certificate that I get after clearing SLET?

Answer: The validity period of the eligibility certificate granted to the SLET qualified candidates is forever.

Question 3: Is there any limit to the number of attempts for the Assam SET exam?

Answer: No. You can appear for the exam any number of times you wish to obtain the certificate or improve your score.

Question 4: After the exam, can I carry the OMR answer sheet with me?

Answer: Not the original answer sheet, but you can carry with you carry the carbon printout of OMR sheet with you after the conclusion of the exam. Make sure to submit the original one or your result will not be declared.

Question 5: What if I lose my admit card after the exam? Can I get a duplicate one?

Answer: You need to submit an application in person for the issue of duplicate admit card with paper-cut of newspaper advertisement and police report on the loss of original admit card and a fee of Rs. 100/-.

Question 6: Can I make a request for change in exam center?

Answer: Application for change of test centre can be sent to the coordinator of the original centre within 7 working days of last date of submission of forms along with the centre change fees is Rs. 300/-.

Question 7: Does the Commission release SET answer key?

Answer The answer key of paper I and II will be available in the SLET Commission’s website after 7 working days of the Test. Objections, if any, can be sent by the candidates up to 15 days from the date of release.
