APSET 2022: On behalf of Andhra Pradesh Government, the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam will be conducting the APSET 2022. The candidates who seek to become Assistant Professors or Lecturers in universities and degree colleges of Andhra Pradesh, this eligibility test is very important for them. Clearing this test will make the candidates eligible for the post of Assistant Professors/Lecturers in 26 Universities, 146 Government Degree Colleges, 1192 aided and unaided degree colleges in the state.

APSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to appear in the APSET 2022, the candidates must fulfill certain criteria which are mentioned below:
- The candidates should have cleared their Master’s exam (or equivalent degree) with a minimum of 55% marks from a UGC recognized university.
- A relaxation of 5% is provided to the candidates who belong to the reserved categories (OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD).
- Those who hold a Ph.D degree and have completed their Master’s level exam on or before September 1991 will be also provided a 5% relaxation in their aggregate marks. Please note that the date mentioned is for the exam, irrespective of when the result was declared.
- The candidates are advised to appear in the subject from which they have done post-graduation. If the subject is not present in the list, a related subject can be chosen.
- There is no upper age limit to appear in the APSET 2022.
- The candidates who have postgraduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University or hold a foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute should ascertain the value of their degree/diploma/certificate with Master/s degree of Indian universities recognized from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
- Those who have already qualified the APSET (in the previous years) with a particular subject cannot appear for the APSET 2022 in the same subject.
- The qualified applicants can apply for the Assistant Professor/Lecturer post only in the Andhra Pradesh universities/colleges from where they have cleared their SET.
APSET 2022 Registration
Step 1:
- A registration link will be provided on the official website of the Andhra Pradesh University.
- The candidates have to fill up the registration form and they will also be asked for a password.
- This password and the registered email id will be required for completing the registration process.
- Certain information of the registration form such as Candidate Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile number cannot be changed after submission.
Step 2:
- After the first step of registration is complete, the candidate will get an email on the registered email address.
- Using the registered email and password, the candidate will have to fill the rest of the form.
- Scanned photograph, signature and caste/disability certificate (whichever applicable) will be uploaded.
- The duly filled form will be submitted along with an application fee.
Step 3:
- The application fee can be paid via Internet Banking, IMPS, Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro) and Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
- An additional service charge will also be applicable.
- Once paid, the fee will not be refunded.
- The structure of the application fee for different categories is:
- For OC Category: Rs 1000/-
- For BC-A,BC-B,BC-C,BC-D,BC-E Category: Rs 800/-
- For SC/ST/PH/VH/HI: Rs 500/-
- For future reference, a printout of the application acknowledgment form should be taken.
APSET 2022 Exam Pattern
The paper for the APSET 2022 will be divided into two major sections: Paper I and Paper II.
Each question will be of 2 marks and the paper will not contain negative marking.
The paper I will be common for all candidates and will be available in English and Telugu language. Questions related to reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness will be asked in this paper.

Note: 1) The question paper for the above subjects (except for which the language is mentioned) will be in English only, except for the paper of specific language.
2) Earlier there were three papers in APSET. Paper II and III were merged in as paper II in the 2022 eligibility test.

Admit Card and Exam Center
The admit card for APSET 2022 will be made available on the official website and the candidates can download it by using their application number, password and security key. The admit card will contain candidates’ name, roll number, signature, photograph and center, date and time of the examination.

- Tirupati
Result of APSET 2022
After the successful commencement of the test, the result will be uploaded on the official website. The candidates will be able to see their results by entering the required credentials. Those who clear the APSET 2022 will be called for document verification and further selection process.
