AFCAT Syllabus- List of Major Subjects

Please go through the list of subjects from which questions are to be included in the exam.

• General Awareness: This section will include questions based on your knowledge on current topics including Defence, History, Science, Economics, Science etc.
• Verbal Ability in English: This section is designed to check English language skill of candidates. Questions are to be asked from synonyms, antonyms, Error detection, comprehensions, word-meanings.
• Numerical Ability: This section includes questions up to class 12^th standard. Major topics of this section include Simple Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average etc.
• Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Candidates’ verbal skills and spatial abilities will be verified in this section.

Important Highlights

• The syllabus for Technical Branch, Flying Branch and Ground Duty are almost similar.
• The question paper includes 100 questions in total.
• Every question is associated with 3 marks, whereas one mark gets deducted in case of each incorrect response.
• The total time duration of the question paper is two hours.
