JNVST 2022: Application Form (Out), Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern and Dates

JNVST 2022: The establishment of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) to empower rural educational standards was a central government’s scheme which was brought under foundation in 1986. JNVs offer free education to the students from class 6th to 12th where students’ are taken care of their education, accommodation and food. Students can get admission in the JNVs in 6th class after passing an entrance test which will be conducted on a national level on 30th April 2022. Candidates can get the admission through lateral entry as well in the 9th class for which separate entrance test is conducted. JNVST 2022 application process has been commenced now. The last date to apply for JNVST 2022 is 30th November 2021. Also note that the last date to apply for JNV class9 lateral entry test 2022 is 31st October 2021 and the exam will be held on 9th April 2022.

JNVST Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates must have fulfilled the eligibility criteria in order to get admission in the JNVs located all across the nation in all districts. Students seeking admission in JNVs must have completed their 5th standard education from any primary school of their district. Candidates, who have already taken part in the JNVST will not be eligible to apply for JNVST 2022.

JNVST 2022 Application Form

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya releases the official notification for admission every year. The application form can be received free of cost from District Education Officer (DEO), Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Block Education Officer (BEO) or from Headmaster of any Government/ Govt. aided/ NIOS. Students can apply for admission by submitting the JNVST application form. Student’s name, educational qualification and other details must be updated and the relevant documents must be attached with the application form. The application form will be submitted at the respective Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya located in the respective city which candidates belong to.

Admit card

The admit card of JNVST 2022 examination will be issued by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti as per the scheduled date. Students who have registered successfully can also obtain their admit card from the Common Service Centres. Candidates have to pay Rs 10/- to the Common Service Centre in order to get JNVST admit card. In case the candidates haven’t received their admit card one week before the exam date, they should immediately contact the officials through email or helpline number.

JNVST 2022 Exam Pattern

Here is the basic information about JNVST exam pattern. The JNVST Exam will be conducted in the month of February 2022. The exam will be comprised of 100 objective questions. Every question will be of 1 mark. The questions will be from general mental aptitude (non-verbal reasoning), mathematics and Hindi language (unseen passages and grammar). Candidates need to secure maximum marks to qualify the test. The admission will be based on the rank of the candidates. There will be no negative marking for the incorrect responses given by students. 80 candidates will be offered admission in a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya(respective district) after qualifying JNVST 2022. Distribution of questions along with marks in each section of JNVST 2022 exam is provided below:

Examination language

The selection test will be organized in 21 languages (approx). Applicants will have to mention their preferred language in the application form from the following list: Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Garo, Hindi, Khasi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Manipuri, Mizo, Punjabi, Oriya, Sindhi (Arabic), Tamil, Sindhi (Devanagari), Telugu, Nepali, Urdu

  • Odd-Man Out

  • Pattern Completion
  • Figure Series Completion
  • Analogy
  • Geometrical Figure Completion (Square, Triangle, Circle)
  • Mirror Imaging
  • Punched Hold Pattern (Folding/Unfolding)
  • Space Visualization
  • Embedded Visualization

For Aritmethic Section

  • Number and numeric system
  • Fractional number and four fundamental operations on them
  • Four fundamental operations on whole number
  • Factors and multiple including their properties
  • LCM and HCF of numbers
  • Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa
  • Decimals and fundamental operations on them
  • Applications of number in measure length, mass, capacity, time, money etc
  • Approximation of expressions
  • Distance, time and speed
  • Simplification of Numerical Expressions,
  • Percentage and its applications
  • Simple interest
  • Profit and loss
  • Perimeter, area and volume

Result

JNVST 2022 result will be announced tentatively in the month of May 2022. Candidates can find their result of JNV Selection test from the offices of District Education Officer, District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, and the Navodaya Vidyalaya of the particular region. It is also the responsibility of the Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya to inform the selected candidates through post.

JNVST 2022 Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates will be based on their marks obtained in the JNV selection test. After qualifying the JNVST 2022 exam, candidate to have to submit the following documents to complete the remaining admission formalities:
