JNU M.Tech Admission Test 2022- Application Form, Exam Date, Selection Procedure

JNU M.Tech Admission 2022- JNU conducts an entrance test named JNU CEEB for admitting students into its M.Tech Biotechnology programme. Candidates will be provided admission according to their performance in the test. Online and offline application for JNU CEEB will be accessible from February, 2022 onwards.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have obtained 60% marks or its equivalent CGPA in one of following qualification:

  • E/B.Tech in Chemical Technology/ Biomedical Engineering/ Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Leather Technology/ Industrial Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ B. Pharma. Or,
  • Sc in Microbial Genetics & Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Microbiology, Genetics/ Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology.

For West Bengal University of Technology : Candidates having M.Sc in Bioengineering are permitted to apply.

For Cochin University of Science and Technology: Candidates having M.Sc in Marine Biology/Aquatic Biology & Fisheries, Marine Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology are permitted to apply.

For Anna University: Candidates who are having B.Tech/B.E qualification in Bioengineering, Electrochemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, B.Tech. in Agricultural Biotechnology, Food Technology, and M.Sc. in Chemistry & Physics can apply.

How to Apply for JNU M.Tech Admission Test 2022?

Candidates can fill up their application form for JNU M.Tech admission test in online as well as offline mode. We are sharing below details of both the approaches:

How to Apply Online?

  • Candidates applying online can access the form from its official portal.
  • All details asked in the application form must be filled by candidates in an appropriate manner.
  • Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature with prescribed sizes and dimensions.

  • Upon submission of the application, candidates can view a confirmation page along with a unique registration number.
  • After applying online candidates do not need to send printout of the form.

How to Apply Offline?

  • In offline mode, candidates need to request for application form along with prospectus by sending a demand draft amounting Rs 1000 (Rs 600 for SC/ST/PwD candidates) drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi.
  • Candidates need to send the application in an unstamped envelope of size 30 cms x 25 cms to the address furnished below. Please do not forget to write the programme of study on the envelope.

JNU M.Tech Admission Test 2022 Exam Pattern

Check out below the important highlights about JNU M.Tech admission test 2022 exam pattern:

There will be two sections in the question paper, the first one is for Engineering/Technology aspirants and another one is for Science students. Candidates need to attend one of the available sections according to their educational background.

Section 1 pattern

  • Time duration- Three Hours
  • Total Marks- 120
  • Part A will include questions from Basic Engineering and Technology of 45 marks.
  • Part B will include questions from Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics of 40 marks.
  • Part C will include questions from Fundamentals of Life Sciences and Informatics of 35 marks.
  • 1 mark will be given to candidates for every correct answer, whereas ¼ marks gets deducted for every wrong attempt.

Admit Card

Candidates are permitted to download their admit card by accessing the official University’s website in the month of May, 2022. Candidates need to bring one copy of their latest passport size photograph along with admit card while coming to the examination centre. I’ll update you with actual date of downloading admit card.

Selection Procedure

An inter-se-merit will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in All India Entrance Examination. Candidates need to exercise their option of universities otherwise they will not be considered for admission process. Before exercise the options candidates are instructed to check their eligibility criteria.
