Eligibility Requirement of Biotech-Courses
The candidates cleared out Bachelor’s degree in Biological, physical, Veterinary science, Pharmacy, Microbiology in Engineering, Physician Assistant Course (or) Medicine (MBBS) (or) BDS with at least 55% marks, is eligible for applying the course. As per university Norms, 15%, 7½% and 3% of seats of CBEE 2016 are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates respectively. The candidates who are liable for the consideration must produce a certificate on behalf of the institute.
Conditions: The candidates who cleared the qualification exam after 2014 are eligible for applying CBEE.
CBEE Exam Syllabus M.sc Biotechnology
The Total Exam Duration of M.sc Biotechnology Three hours, which is divided into Part A and part B. Basically, Part A questions are intermediate class-level type objective pattern questions are basically from the subject areas of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The total marks of Part A will be 60 also ½ mark will be deducted for each wrong question. Part B has advanced level objective type question pattern: there will be questions from Physics, Mathematics, chemistry and Biology. The total Marks for B is 180 (60×3) and one mark will be deducted for each wrong question.
CBEE Exam Syllabus M.Tech Biotechnology:
The three hours long examination consisting two streams (i) Technology Stream and (ii) Life Science Stream
The technology stream is divided into three parts: Part A (Basic Engineering and Technology), Part B (Physics/Chemistry/Maths) and Part C (Fundamental Life Science and Informatics).
The Life Science Stream divided into three parts: Part A- Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Immunology), Part B – Physics /Chemistry (at undergraduate level) and Part C- Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences (at 10+ 2 level).
