The exam is organized to provide enrollment to candidates in many medical courses such as BDS and MBBS programme under various private and Govt. institutes of Jammu and Kashmir medical colleges.

Required Eligibility Criteria for JKCET

Interested candidates have to full fill prescribed eligibility criteria before appearing for JKCET Medical exam. The eligibility scheme for this entrance exam is listed below:

  • Aspirant must have domicile of J&K State as stated in Section 6 of the Constitution of J&K.
  • The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary Certificate examination or its correspondent examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English as subjects with minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC) and 45% for candidates from PH)

How to apply for JKCET Medical?

JKCET Medical application forms is now available on official website of JKCET. Candidates are requested to go through this link and fill the required details like name, phone number, Email-Id, etc in order to register for the examination. After successful completion of JKCET Medical registration process, they need to provide educational details along with scanned copy of their passport size photograph and signature as mandatory documents and submit it. Candidates have to pay application fees online through netbanking/debit/credit card or can also pay through offline mode by downloading online auto generated Bank Challan of J&K Bank/HDFC Bank for submitting the fee amount, in any branch of Jammu &Kashmir Bank or directly in the BOPEE Account.

JKCET Medical Application fees:

Eligible and interested candidates have to pay Rs 800/- online (as necessary application fee) through Debit or Credit Card or can also pay through offline mode by downloading online auto generated Bank Challan of J&K Bank/HDFC Bank for submitting the fee amount, in any branch of Jammu &Kashmir Bank or directly in the BOPEE Account.

JKCET Medical Examination Pattern

The JKCET Medical exam comprises of 2 papers namely Physics and Chemistry (paper 1), and Biology (paper 2). Paper 1 consists of questions from physics and chemistry subjects and duration of the paper would be 2 hours. Paper 2 contains questions from Biology and duration of this paper would be 1 hour. Each right answer will be rewarded with 1 mark and there is also negative marking of .25 marks for each wrong answer given by the candidate.

Admit Card

Admit card will be made available by the concerned authority in online mode. Once it is uploaded on the official website candidates can download by using their application number. You’ll be notified with exact date of downloading the admit card soon, however the expected month of releasing admit card is April, 2016. Please keep in mind you won’t be allowed to appear in the exam without having a valid admit card.

Result

In this section, candidates will find updates regarding JKCET medical result. It is expecting that the result will be announced in the month of June, 2016. In order to qualify the exam, candidates belonging to poor and backward category are required to obtain minimum 50% marks whereas this qualifying mark for other reserved category candidates is 40%.

JKCET Medical Counseling Procedure

Counseling process for JKCET medical will be done in two major phases. All shortlisted candidates must need to appear for counseling procedure along with their original certificates, admit card and bank draft (non-refundable).

JKCET Medical selection process:

The selection of the candidates will be truly made through their rank in JKCET Medical examination.  The entrance test offers a total 50% of seats beneath general category or Open Merit candidates, other 50% is offered among the SC/ST/OBC category candidates.
