JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2021

The application form for JIPMER PG Exam will be available in the month of September 2020 tentatively. Candidates aspiring to appear in this exam must read and understand the JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 before applying.

It is mandatory that the applicant must have an MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India and completed the internship in order to appear in this exam. The JIPMER Eligibility Criteria 2021 is given below:

Nationality

  1. Indian Nationals Candidates:

All Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizen of India are eligible to apply for JIPMEER PG Exam.

  1. Non-Resident Indian

The NRI Candidates have to apply through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. The Non-Resident Indian Candidates have to take prior permission from the MCI before applying for the PG courses in the Institute.

A copy of application form along with the copy of the request to MCI must also be submitted at JIPMER before the last date of application form submission. In case the candidate gets selected then he/she have to apply for temporary MCI registration for the duration of course.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicant must have an MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Experience

  • The applicant must have completed the necessary 12 Month practical training/rotating internship on or before the 31st December 2020.

Note: Candidates whose internship will not be completed on or before 31st December 2020 will not be considered as fulfilling the JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 and their candidature will be rejected.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Only those candidates will be considered as fulfilling the JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 who have scored more than minimum qualifying marks in MBBS or equivalent degree exam.

The Minimum Qualifying Marks for different categories are as follows

Categories Qualifying Marks
General and OBC candidates 55% marks in aggregate
SC/ST candidates 50% marks in aggregate
OPH (general or OBC) 55% marks in aggregate
OPH (SC and ST candidates) 50% marks in aggregate

Application Status

  • Candidates who have already completed MS/MD course in any subject from any other institute will not be eligible for the admission.

  1. Those candidates who will fulfill the JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 have to fill the application form through the online mode.
  2. The link to fill the application form along with the prospectus will be made available on the official website.
  3. Candidates have to provide all the necessary personal, educational, and contact details in the application form.
  4. After filling the online application form, the candidates have to pay a prescribed application fee of RS. 1500/- (Rs 1200/- for the candidates from reserved categories) through the online mode.
