JEXPO Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit, Educational Qualification, Marks

Candidates seeking admission in 1st-year diploma courses of Engineering and Technology offered by various Polytechnic Institutions must satisfy the JEXPO eligibility criteria as specified by the exam conducting authority. Before the candidates start applying for this exam, they must ensure that they fulfill all the necessary requirements stated by the officials. An Ineligible candidate won’t be permitted to take the exam if he/she doesn’t fit the criteria mentioned in this post.

The JEXPO examination will be conducted by the WBSCTE for polytechnic admissions in West Bengal. The admission in these programs will be granted according to the merit rank obtained by the candidates in the exam.

JEXPO eligibility criteria 2022

Nationality: Only Indian Citizens can apply for the JEXPO examination. Foreign Nationals are not eligible to apply for the exam.

Age limit: A candidate should not have been born after 1st July 2007. There is no upper age limit for the candidates interested in applying for the exam.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must have passed the secondary examination (class 10th) of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in 2022 with Math, English and Physical Science/Science among others as subjects can also apply.

Percentage required: A candidate should have scored a minimum 35% aggregate marks in class 10th without rounding up. Those appearing in class 10th can also apply for the exam.

Note: Without rounding off simply means that the shortage of marks in minimum marks will make the candidate ineligible for the exam, for example – 34.99% marks will not be considered as 35%.

JEXPO Application Form

The application form for JEXPO will be available in online mode at the official website of West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) www.webscte.co.in. No offline application will be released or accepted. Applicants must pay the required application fee for the exam. Candidates should very carefully fill their details in the application form. Incorrect/Application received without the payment will be rejected. No request for the change in the particulars will be entertained by the authority.

Fee for Online Application is Rs. 450/- (Rs. 225/- for valid Kanyashree enrolees). Payment of application fee to be made online through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI. Candidates should take the printout of the submitted application form for future references.
