West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) JEXO 2024 Registration Started on 23 Feb,2024.Last date is 15 May 2024.

JEXPO is conducted for admission to diploma courses in engineering / technology / architecture in government and private polytechnic colleges of West Bengal. The exam will be conducted either in online or offline mode.

JEXPO comprises of 100 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students are given 2 hours of time to solve the question paper.

JEXPO 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Please read JEXPO eligibility and confirm whether you are eligible for the exam:

Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Qualifying Exam: Those have passed the Secondary (Madhyamik) exam from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent exam with Mathematics, English, and Science/Physical Science/Science & Technology are eligible.

Marks: Candidates must have obtained minimum 35% marks (no rounding up) in the qualifying exam.

Appearing candidates: Those are appearing in the qualifying exam in 2024 are also permitted to apply.

Minimum Age: Candidates should not be born after 1st July 2009.

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit.

JEXPO Application Form 2024

JEXPO 2024 online application form will be available at the council’s website www.webscte.co.in. The authority will not release or accept offline application forms.

West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) doesn’t provide correction facility and hence you must fill up your application form carefully. For filling the online application form, candidates will need to register for the same using basic details such as Name, Email ID & Phone number. After registration, you’ll be able to login and fill rest part of your application form.

Candidates will need to pay a certain amount as the application fee in order to submit their application successfully. Payment of application fee can be made using Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI. Here are the details of the registration/application fee that a candidate needs to pay-

JEXPO 2024 Syllabus

The Syllabus for JEXPO exam will be based on the curriculum of class 10th . Candidates need to prepare for the exam strictly according to the syllabus prescribed for it to fetch good marks. Following are the key topics included in the syllabus that a candidate must prepare from –

Mathematics: Real Numbers, Laws of Indices, Graph, Co-ordinate Geometry – Distance Formula,
Linear Simultaneous Equations, Properties of Parallelogram, Polynomial, Factorisation, Transversal & Mid-Point Theorem, Profit & Loss, Statistics, Theorems on Area, Construction of a Parallelogram whose measurement of one angle is given and equal in area of a Triangle, Construction of a Triangle equal in area of a quadrilateral, Area & Perimeter of Triangle & Quadrilateral shaped region, Circumference of Circle, Theorems on concurrence, Area of circular region, Co-ordinate Geometry – Internal and External Division of Straight Line Segment, Co-ordinate Geometry – Area of Triangular Region, Logarithm.

The exam time can be quite hectic, it’s important for a candidate to remain calm and prepare for the exam whole-heatedly. Given below are some tips on how to prepare for the JEXPO exam which will help a candidate in fetching good marks in the exam.

  • Understand the exam pattern and syllabus before starting your JEXPO 2024 preparation. Applicants should go through the previous year’s papers to understand what type of questions will be asked in the exam.

JEXPO 2024 Exam Zones

Candidates residing outside West Bengal (except Tripura) will have to choose the exam center from the districts of Kolkata, Howrah, South 24 Parganas or North 24 Parganas only.

Admit Card

Candidates will be able to download the admit card via online mode only at the official website of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) www.webscte.co.in. No physical admit card/hall ticket will be sent to the candidates by whatever means. Candidates can download the admit card by providing their application form number. To download the JEXPO admit card, candidates will need to visit the official website. The admit card mustn’t be torn/damaged by a candidate. The entry to the exam hall will only be permitted if a candidate possesses the admit card and a valid ID proof for the exam. Applicants are suggested to keep a printout of the West Bengal Polytechnic 2024 admit card for future reference. The admit card must be preserved until the process of admission is over.

Result

The result of JEXPO 2024 has been declared on 11th June 2024. . Candidates can check their respective results by visiting the official website. The concerned authority will publish a merit list of the candidates shortlisted for the counselling. Here applicants should know that no individual rank card will be provided to a candidate by whatever means. Only those candidates can participate in the counselling whose name appears on the merit list.

Counselling

The admission will be given based on the counselling session conducted by the concerned authority. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process where they will have to choose a college and course. During the counselling session, all the necessary documents of the candidates will go through the verification process. Hence, candidates must bring the original as well as photocopies of the documents needed in the counselling.
