Jamia School Admission 2022-2023: Application Form, Eligibility, Selection Process

The process of admission to Jamia schools begins from the month of February with the release of the application form. Admission is offered into different grades based on the eligibility of the candidates. However, for admission to class VI, IX and XI, the entrance exam will be conducted by the JMI COE. Eligibility Criteria for Jamia School Admission 2022

The candidates must meet the criteria mentioned below to be eligible for Jamia school entrance test 2022:

  • For class VI: The candidates who have passed their class V exam are eligible for admissions.
  • For class IX: Candidates should have passed class VIII exam with at least 41% marks in English and in aggregate.
  • For class XI Science: A pass in class X exam with minimum aggregate of 61% marks in English, Science and overall is required. Marks in any other subject should not be less than 41%.
  • For class XI Arts: Those who have cleared their class X exam with at least 41% marks in English and in aggregate can apply.
  • For class XI Commerce: Applicants should have cleared class X exam with minimum aggregate of 51% marks and 41% marks in English. Marks in any other subject should not be less than 33%.

Note:

Those opting for Mathematics in Science/ Commerce/ Arts streams should secure at least 61% marks or grade–B2 in Maths in the qualifying examination and have studied standard Mathematics.

Jamia School 2022 Application Form 

  • The application form for Jamia school admission 2022 will be made available on the official website www.jmicoe.in.
  • First step will be the registration of the candidates providing basic details such as name, date of birth, gender, father’s name, mobile number, email is etc.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should be uploaded into the registration form.
  • Once this form is submitted, an email containing the unique registration number and password will be sent on the registered email address.
  • Using these credentials, the application form of the candidates can be obtained. In the application form, choice for class, stream, category, etc will be asked.
  • After filling, the application form can then be submitted along with the required entrance exam fee.
  • A copy of the submitted application form should be taken and kept safe in case of any future reference.

Application fee:

  • The Jamia school entrance exam fee for the will be Rs. 300/-.
  • The application fee may be paid either by credit card/ debit card/ net banking or through e-challan generated during the filling of online form.

Jamia School Admit Card 2022

  • Those who submit their application in time will be able to download their admit card from the official website of JMI COE.
  • After downloading, a printout of the admit card should be taken. This printout must be carried to the exam center on exam day.
  • A photocopy of the admit card should also be taken as the original admit card will be submitted by the invigilators at the test centre.
  • Schedule and venue of the entrance exam will be printed on the admit card along with the basic details of the students.

Jamia School 2022 Result & Admission

  • A list of the candidates who are selected for admission will be displayed on the JMI website.
  • Candidates with names in the list then need to report to the school to complete the formalities of admission.
  • Documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified before granting them the admission.
  • Candidates securing less than 33% marks in the admission test will not be eligible for admission in Jamia Schools.

Admission to Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals and NRI wards who fulfill the eligibility criteria, but do not wish to appear to the entrance test may apply for admission under Supernumerary seats. Admission of candidates will be done in Nursery, Prep, I, VI, IX and XI classes according to their marks in the qualifying exam.

Interested applicants can apply online on the website of Jamia. After successful submission of application and payment of fees, a self-attested printout of the form and important documents should be submitted by post/ self to the office of the Foreign Students’ Advisor, Room No. 20-21, (Gate No. 8), Old SRK Hostel, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi 110025 or via email at [email protected].

Selected students need to produce their Students Visa within one month of completion of admission formalities. A copy of this visa should also be submitted in the office of the Foreign Students’ Advisor, JMI.

For Foreign Passport Holders (FPH)

  • Marks sheet of qualifying passed
  • Proof of age
  • Copy of valid passport and visa

For NRI Ward

  • Marks sheet of qualifying exam
  • Age proof
  • Copy of the passport of parent working abroad
  • Translated and self-attested copy of work permit/ license to work/ valid working visa of parent
  • Translated self-attested copy of residence permit of parent
  • Letter from the employer of the parent
  • Affidavit on Rs. 10 stamp paper from the parent for financial support
  • NRI status certificate issued by the Indian Embassy in the concerned country

FAQs

What can I do if I am unable to download my admit card?

In case a candidate fails to download admit card due to any technical reason, he/she may report to concerned test centre two hours before the test schedule along with the acknowledgment slip for issuing duplicate admit card.

In which cities will the entrance exams conducted?

The entrance exam will be conducted in Delhi only.

Can I submit my application form at school’s office?

No. The application form should only be submitted through online mode. Forms submitted through any other mode will be rejected.

What is the specification for uploading signature and photograph into the application?

Both signature and photograph should be in JPG/ JPEG format with size between 5 kb and 100 kb.
