The Department of Electronics and Communication (commonly known as J.K. Institute of Applied Physics and Technology) is one of the most reputed colleges in country. The department is located in the Muir College Campus (Science Faculty) of the University of Allahabad. It is one of the oldest departments and the foundation of this department was laid by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1949. The department of Electronics and Communication as an institute is affiliated to Allahabad University and approved by AICTE and MHRD, New Delhi.
