IVRI PhD Admission 2023: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Dates

IVRI PhD Admission 2023: Applications will be invited by Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) from eligible candidates for admission to Phd courses for academic session 2023-24. Admissions are based on candidates’ performance in the common written entrance exam to be organized as per the prescribed schedule at various centers.

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidate must satisfy prescribed eligibility requirements before applying for entrance exam conducted for IVRI PhD Admission 2023.

Educational qualification:

• The interested applicants for admission to PhD courses should have done MVSc degree in the related stream with a minimum CGPA 6.50/10.00 scale, 2.60/4.00 scale, 3.25/5.00 scale (5.50/10.00 scale, 2.20/4.00 scale, 2.75/5.00 scale for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically challenged/ Sponsored candidates), respectively from any recognized University in India

Or

• In case of the universities/institutes where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are considered, applicants should have secured minimum 60% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically challenged/Sponsored category candidates)

Age limit

• The minimum age for admission for Ph.D will be 23 years as on August 2023 and there will be no upper age limit.

Reservation Criteria

There will reservation in seats as per govt rules. 15% seats are reserved for SC Category, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC & 3% seats are kept for physically challenged candidates.

IVRI PhD Application Form: How to apply?

IVRI Phd admission application form and Information Bulletin will be either downloaded from official website i.e. www.ivri.nic.in or can be obtained from the Assistant Administrative Officer (Acad.), IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly-243122, (UP). Send the duly filled in application along with a bank draft of Rs. 1200/- for open category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PH category candidates drawn in favour of “ICAR, Unit IVRI, IZATNAGAR” payable at State Bank of India, CARI Branch (Code No. 7027), Bareilly. Applications should be reached on or before the last date. No application will be entertained after the due date.

Admit card

The admit card will be provided after the successful submission of the application form. Admit card bears all important information related entrance exam such as candidate name, roll number, date and time of entrance exam, examination hall address and other important instructions regarding the exam. Admit card should be produced in examination center failing to which candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall and their candidature will be canceled.

Exam Pattern

The written entrance examination for Ph.D. degree programme will consist of multiple-choice questions a total of 190 marks and 10 marks will be given for the interview. The duration of the exam will be of two hours.

Result

The university will be announced the result of PhD admission 2023 on the basis of marks obtained in written exam followed by the interview. The result will be published on official website o the university. IVRI Phd exam results announced by the university will be treated as final. There will be no provision for scrutiny/ re‐evaluation of answer books.

Selection Process

Admission to Phd courses in Indian Veterinary Research Institute will be done on the basis of marks obtained in written exam and merit. In case of tie, the selection of candidates will be made on the basis of marks obtained in MVSc and BVSc degree.
