IPU CET Law 2024: Application Form, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the authority responsible for conducting and managing the IPU CET 2024 exam. Through this entrance exam, the university will select candidates for admission to its law degree courses. Those candidates who are looking to apply must know that the university is going to conduct separate examinations for admission to its Bachelor’s (BA.LLB & BBA.LLB) and Master’s (LLM) degree program. Before filling the application form, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of the particular course.

IPU CET Law 2024 Eligibility Criteria

All the applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria

  • For LLB Courses – The applicants must have passed the 12th class or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks. As well as, they must have passed in English in class 12th.
  • For LLM Courses – The applicants must possess an LLB degree from an institute recognized by the Bar Counselling of India or an equivalent Law degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a Foreign University.

IPU CET Law 2024 Application Form

Candidates will be able to access the IPUCET Law 2024 application form in online mode through the official website. The detailed application process is explained below-

  • To start the application process, applicants need to register on the official website i.e., www.ipu.ac.in.
  • At the time of registration, applicants must provide their basic personal, contact, academic details.
  • After registration, candidates can log in and fill the remaining details in the form.
  • The applicants are also required to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature in a specified format.
  • Candidates must enter the correct information in the application form. If there will be any incorrect information then the form might get rejected.
  • After completing the application form, candidates also need to pay the application fee as per their category.
  • Once the application form will be submitted. Successful aspirants should take a printout of the form for their future reference.

Application Fee

  • The IPUCET Law application Fee is Rs. 1000/- (excluding process charge and other transaction charges)
  • For all the applicants, the application fee will be the same regardless of their categories.
  • The application will be paid using a Debit Card/Credit card or Internet Banking.

IPUCET Law 2024 Admit Card

  • The admit cards are expected to release 5 days before the examination.
  • Candidates need to fill their unique ID and password which was generated during registration to download the admit card.
  • At the time of downloading the admit cards, applicants must take two printouts of the same. One copy will be kept by the invigilator.
  • Entry will be prohibited in the examination centre without the admit card.
  • Until the admission gets completed, candidates must need to keep the admit card safe.

IPUCET Law 2024 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of IPUCET Law 2024 is given below-

  • Mode of Examination – Offline(OMR sheet based examination)
  • Number of questions – 150
  • Maximum marks – 600
  • Types of questions – Objective type MCQ
  • Duration of Examination – 150 minutes
  • Marking pattern – For every correct answer 4 marks will be credited. 1 mark will be debited for every wrong answer.

Question – 1: The examination will take place in Delhi only or is it a national level exam?

Answer: The examination will held in many other cities along with Delhi.

Question – 2: Is there any counselling fee that a candidate has to pay?

Answer: The counselling fee is Rs. 1000/- that should be paid during counselling.

Question – 3: The entrance exams for LLB or LLM are going to be held on the same date or different dates?

Answer: The exams for both the courses will be held separately on different dates.

IPU CET Law 2024 Result

  • The declaration of IPUCET Law 2024 result will be online on the official website of the University.
  • Aspirants should note that the result of LLB and LLM will be announced separately.
  • Applicants need to sign in to their account to check their result by using credentials generated during the registration.
  • Merit list will be prepared by the authorities of those applicants who will successfully clear their entrance exam.

IPU CET Law 2024 Counselling

  • Those applicants will be allowed to participate in the counselling who will get their names in the merit list prepared by the authority.
  • The candidates will asked to fill their preferences of colleges at the time of the counselling process.
  • As per the rank of the candidates and choices filled by them, seats will be allotted.
  • For all the successful candidates, it is compulsory to carry the photocopy and original documents at the time of the counselling. Documents will be verified of the candidates at the time of the counselling.
